Who will be our rah-rah?

Nobody can replace b-dawk, so who will it be?

Sadly, I think the only guy it can be is DJ. The rest are too quiet.

Poll coming:

It will be Peyton, right?

He plays offense, coaches, and probably makes defensive signals!

what do you care? you should be worried about Revis and the JEts

I put Elvis down but Mays has the ability to take over with his attitude...however, you can't whiff on a tackle 3 yards deep in the backfield and then get up and slap helmets with your guys (see Nate Webster)

I really think it could be Woodyard, the guy is very vocal and animated. I would love for Von to use this as his chance to be the guy though.

You act as if bringing in Manning had some impact on the departure of Dawkins. With or without Tebow we lost our defensive leader.

I THINK Von was a pretty big leadership guy in college. Probably has a better shot as anyone to push and motivate

Look at Mays. Hes a beast. I just hope Irving put on some bulk.

I put nobody cause Peyton isn't on this list. Peyton already has the defense grinning from ear to ear. Has them believing teams will now be forced to pass playing with the lead at halftime, making more sack opportunities. Just his presence gives rah rah.

Champ is visibly taking on a larger more vocal leadership role and it was more than symbolic when he ended his workout early to attend the last ten minutes of Dawks farewell presser just in time (ore planned) to hear Dawk laud Champ as being the most memorableoment in his Bronco career was the first time he lined up behind Champ Bailey on the field.

Their very press visible handshake and hug as soon as Dawk stepped off the podium was a formal changing of the D leadership guard and several reports have Champ being far more active in his offseason leadership this year and was closely kept up to speed on the whole Manning story...

Champ and Doom are the guys now with Von surely to catch up to them as a key leader as he continues to dominate on the field and earns the locker room chops to be The Guy going forward...

Clearly you can't define anything. The mushrooms and acid sticks you ate in the Shoreline parking lot has done wonders for you

Good comeback. Almost as original as the first time you used this argument, but not quite.

We've been without a guy like Dawkins during Champ's tenure, and it just isn't his style. He's a quiet leader, yes, but not a guy that's going to fill Dawk's role.

Don't get it.

What don't I get? To the extent Dawkins was the "leader" of our defense we lost him and his "leadership". Tebow and Manning have nothing to do with it. I'm sorry this is beyond your limited ability to comprehend. But so like you to jump in a thread and proclaim people "don't get it" because they don't see things like you do. It's what you do. Insecurity and lack of self awareness always on display.

Speaking of not getting it, allow me to remind you...

So the shanks into the deep rough is what puts you in a bad mood? Polara balls will fix that slice right up.

I generally play a little draw. Don't know what the Polara ball is, but I'm guessing it's sold to hacks watching infomercials on Golf Channel and is illegal for tournament play.

Yep. Usually played by Filipinos at the local muni's. The ones that can be overheard in the clubhouse ranting about that last double bogey that sent their score into the 90s.

Oh I absolutely get that. But I'm also aware of the poster's mindset based on another thread he started today, and other posts he's made, which betray his bitterness. So yes, he's "kidding", but there's some truth in there. I'd think you'd catch on since you clearly harbor some of the same bitterness.

i think he would be the answer if he was a starter, but seeing as he is a ST ace and backup on defense, he is the ra ra guy for ST.

i think Von or Elvis are the new leaders of the defense.

i seriously believe DJ has played his last down for the Broncos

This makes me wonder if perhaps Denver and Philly discussed a Samuel for DJ swap. Not that it matters now...

Woodyard will start at least four games if DJ loses his appeal. I like him a lot as a leader... Champ and Von, too.

Von needs to lay back on the energy drinks and porn stars.... and throwing thousands of dollars in cash into crowded hotel lobbys, before he can be a leader, though.

I hope Irving is ready, because after Von, we're fairly weak at LB.

Woodyard is intense and fun to watch, but he's average as a starting LB.
DJ has ****ed up too much to get another chance.
Mays is an awesome goaline backer, but he was owned by Hernandez in the two games against the pass.
