Hope his health is good in his retirement!

I loved watching him play as a Bronco, I hope he sticks around in some capacity with the organization.

I hope our safeties took something away from how he played the game. Hope we don't see as many missed tackles this year.

Thanks Dawk!

I agree, It is always nice to see someone go out on their terms. He had a career most would look upon with envy. Thanks for the last 3 years.

Thanks for the passionate way you played the game you were a joy to watch. Hope your injuries heal 100% and you win the Dancing With the Stars contest.

Should be 1st ballot HOF.

Wow! Sad to see this day come. Dawkins was a pro's pro. Hope our young DBs learned something from him. Hell, I hope the Broncos offer him a coaching gig.

What a classy player, sure did get our defense ready to play. He will be missed on the field. I wish him well in is after football life.

Wonder if we could get him to give pre-game pep talks this year :)

How much money would it cost to clone a 25 year old version of him? I'd be willing to chip in if Bowlen can't cover it all.

Congrats on a HoF career! Wish more of it had been in Denver.

Played with a lot of heart and intensity. Retired with dignity. A simple statement and he's gone fishing. Brett Favre could learn a lot from Dawkins.

Hard to see a guy like Dawk have to go right before going for broke on a championship.

If you wanted to see anyone get a ring out of this deal, it was a guy like Dawk.

Dawkins is one of my favorite players of all time. I loved him as an Eagle & was envious of them because of what they had.

I was overjoyed when he signed with the Broncos! I bought his jersey & couldn't wait to watch him fly over offensive lines to get to the QB.

Great man, great player, Hall of fame career! Thanks for entertaining me for years B Dawk!

Thanks, dawk!
Hopefully he stays on as a coach.

2nd this. I wanted one more year out of him to get the youngins ready to start but he played a long time that equates to a starting QB career.

He deserved a ring. Wish his body would have held on for 2 more years. Appreciate he way he played the game.

Why 2? He would only need to play 1 more year :strong:

Brian Dawkins says he will stay in Denver, says its a beautiful place, wants to raise his kids here.

He added, "The things I couldn't do physically last year, I made up for with knowledge and maturity in decision making."

I asked Dawkins if he felt like his age was catching up to him last year.... He said, "this decision is completely seperate from that."

When asked if he would sign a one day contract and retire an Eagle, Dawkins said, "I don't know yet."

Dawkins: "Better to leave a year early, then a year late."

Not only did the Broncos sign a pro and an all-pro (four times) in 2009, they brought in a captain (who organized workouts during the lockout) and, most people outside the organization don't realize it, a religious man who was responsible for making life easier for Tim Tebow when he came to the Broncos and again when he became the starting quarterback.

Dawkins prevented all the non- believers in the locker room from rebuking or ridiculing Tebow.
