I hope the Broncos have found another Chad Hennings in Ben Garland...

i still truly hate the WR numbers in the teens. they just look stupid to me. i thought the rule was those were only available when all numbers in the 80's were in use.

i seem to remember players in TC and preseason wearing numbers in the teens and then once the regular season started, if they made the team, their numbers changed to something in the 80s.

also, why hasn't Tamme chosen or been given a number?

I bet thousands of Broncos fan are PO'd that Dell took 15. No point for them to change their nameplate anymore.

I agree, but I doubt if Stokely makes it out of TC or PS.

How do you feel about WR numbers in the single digits?

Number rules for WRs changed in 2004. Allowed them to wear 10-19 in addition to 80-89.

QB/K/P: 1-19
RB/FB: 20-49
TE: 40-49, 80-89
WR: 10-19, 80-89
OL: 50-79

DL: 50-79, 90-99
LB: 50-59, 90-99
DB: 20-49

There are exceptions, like Devin Hester switching from DB to WR, Some DEs wearing 70-79 switching to OLB.

I wonder if Hanie asked Jake Plummer's permission to wear his number.

He did.

Plummer said no.

Hanie then lol'd and hung up.

I also remember when receivers were typically in the low to mid 80's.....and TEs were typically in the HIGH 80's. Now, it doesn't matter....some TE's wear low 80's....some WR's wear high 80's.

Not to mention the 40s that some TE's wear now.

that's exactly what i meant there. He started out with that number because an 80s digit wasn't available, but once he made the team, he got a proper looking WR number.

i like the teen numbers for WR's. but Mark Dell is a straight fool for picking #15.
he isn't ready for the Tebowmania backlash.

i can't wait til the draft. i wanna see who we get, what number they wear and how they do.

honestly the majority of people who would be pissed at someone taking 15 this season are now following the Jets. most who bitched and moaned about those who didn't worship the ground Tim walked on were Tebow fans, not Broncos fans.

and Broncos fans won't care if Dell wears 15.

I agree, back in the 70's they would give WR's numbers in the 20's which I like better. Haven Moses was 25, Cliff Branch 21, etc.

yes but Marshall wasn't Time's most influential athlete.
more productive individually though.

No one cares about the #.

No one is mad at Dell for taking it.
