That might be but like Phillips, Leaf, Russell and countless other busts doesn't mean he is good.

So a 9th overall pick goes for a 5th rounder. That in itself explains a lot.

the team who just won the superbowl and has one of the most stacked rosters traded for this guy. that in its self explains a lot.

Actually all that's says is he wasnt looked at or traded to be a starter. He wouldn't beat out Mays williams or miller. Not beating out Mays would explain a lot.

NYG have zero real LBs and have been grasping at straws to fill the position for 2 years now...and the DEs they line up at OLB don't count.

Derrick Harvey was a top 10 pick - they never fail!

eh, he hasn't been the same since Hines Ward jacked his jaw. he's worth more than the pick but i'd rather go draft for LB,DT and CB now than sign or trade for what's left.

no big deal. the fifth round compensation is fair for rivers. the guy is probably in the last year of his deal and the bengals didnt want to resign him to an extension. so they shipped him off for a fifth round pick and new york got a one year rental, much like we did with bunkley. we didnt have to get in the bidding because we probably didnt want to waste another pick on a one year guy.

I remember really liking him in the draft, and he looked good his rookie year but he just can't stay healthy and his play speed has really suffered from the injuries.

What about Aaron Curry? He was drafted top 5 and plain sucks? Drafted position really means nothing a couple years into the league.
