Season ended, after that crazy win vs Pitt:

Then we started looking at Manning and I had to decide between Manning and Tebow:

Joe Mays:

Other Teams jumped in for Manning:

I've never watched that show, and I have no reason why. Just never looked intersting, so I've never tried to watch it, not even 2 minutes of any show.

It takes about 10 episodes for the characters to grow on you, but it's quite entertaining.

Shows like Two and a Half Men and How I Met Your Mother are comedy for the brain dead.

Just putting it out there.

Have you ever watched How I Met Your Mother? I used to think so too, but it's actually really good. It's not your typical CBS bullsh1t.

It's on around the house. I've seen snippets of ten or so episodes. Not impressed.

The only show currently on TV that I'm thoroughly impressed with is Mad Men.

South Park and The Simpsons have always been good. The Pacific was pretty good, too.

how i met your mother is a pretty good show, the original storyline/plot kind of fades (story about the mother), gets kinda draggy but its enjoyable. neil patrick harris is awesome in every episode haha

CBS programming is particularly bad, though.

If I had to rank people responsible with the dumbing down of America, I'd put Chuck Lorre very near the top.

Haven't seen a lot of Breaking Bad. It looks pretty good.

I haven't seen Weeds either, but again, I hear only good things.

You can't still like the Simpsons and claim HIMYM is bad. Simpsons went over a cliff some years back and I can barely watch it anymore. I can, however, enjoy some HIMYM on occasion. I don't follow the series or anything but if I'm browsing through the guide and see it, I'll flip to it to get my wife or kid's shows off the background. If there's nothing better on, that or Big Bang Theory are decent fallbacks for background noise while doing something else.

I watched all the seasons of Breaking Bad over a week or two binge not too long ago and wasn't very impressed with it. It wasn't quite the thought provoking type show that I thought it had the potential to be. It was a good idea poorly executed, in my opinion.

two and a half men is shiat, that I agree with, but I love Neil Patrick Harris in how I met your mother...he's, wait for it, Legendary....but my favorite thing of his is the Dr. Horrible Sing along blog.

At any rate, I think the offseason thing with gifs from the show is hysterical and well played. If you don't like the off season thing with How I met your mother you whiners, why not a rebuttal with gifs from other shows that you think are funny..I think you missed the point of the thread, which isn't the good or bad of How I met your mother, but the gifs about off season and that was funny, way funnier than the April Fools joke threads...

So just a suggestion, how about people responding with their gifs representing the off season? I thought the OP was funny, especially because I do know the show enough to get the references, but even so it was still silly fun.

If you think South Park is "comedy for the brain dead" then the connections that the show draws are probably mostly over your head. One thing about South Park is that you don't necessarily have to be the brightest bulb to find it funny - only to maximize the "South Park" experience.

South Park is low-brow toilet humor, no doubt... but Trey Parker and Matt Stone brilliantly walk a very thin line between genius and bad taste. Most of the toilet humor is related to broader socio-political commentary that is always not only relatable, but also symbolic of aforementioned social commentary.

South Park is way smarter than How I Met Your Mother.

With the Simpsons, you're really more into the characters. There have actually been some recent episodes that were quite good - "Lost Verizon" was good (I thought it was a brilliant satire on Ingmar Bergman - I was laughing through the whole episode)... the one where Mr. Burns becomes an NBA owner... and the one where Kent Brockman starts his own underground news show - were all good episodes.

You're insane. Breaking Bad is the best show on right now. It's close to The Wire and The Sopranos.

The Killing is also a good show.

No, its not.

Its hilarious but smart is not anywhere near South Park.

How I met your mother is meh, I dont watch it much. The character Barney is awesome though. The Hot/Crazy scale is pure genius.

I have to point out that every South Park episode is literally produced from start to finish in one week.

I watched the Tom Landry football life. Figured it would be good since I was too young to remember anything about him. It was very well done. He was an innovative coach and a very good man off the field as well. The end

I've got to agree. South Park is full of metaphors that you have to stop and consider. If you don't get the reference, you never realize what you're not getting. I think it's genius how they represent a lot of topics. An example is the ManBearPig episode. I always took ManBearPig to be a metaphor for global warming and they used it to poke fun at the idea and Al Gore throughout. The "I'm serial" moments throughout were just gravy.

There isn't a facepalm pic big enough for this post. "That show sucks. I have never seen an episode!" What a clown.

How I Met Your Mother is a very good show. If you haven't watched a lot of it, you won't get most of the comedy. Everything is a running joke on that show.
