*) Feudalism: an older version of the free-market!
http://www.conservapedia.com/index.php?title=World_History_Lecture_Five&oldid=9546
The roots of our free enterprise economic system of private property are in feudalism. The impact goes beyond private property. The entire concept of "customer service" and "the customer is always right" can be traced to the chivalry developed under feudalism.
Feudalism had much that many people miss today. For example, people worked close to home, and there was no commuting or traveling to a job. No one was "laid off" by a big company then and left without work. And my favorite:

*) The Conservative Bible Translation Project. Conservatives are "fixing" those troublesome parts in the bible that seem a bit too liberal. For example, "peace" is such a politically charged word, it's best to remove it. They're building off the "immensely popular and respected" King James Version.

Is this satire?

The King James version? Really? It's only the worst version to use. No big deal I guess.

Poe's Law, right?

But sadly, no. It's real.

Conservapedia was started by the son of Phyllis Schlafly, the infamous anti-feminist and anti-civil rights crusader.

The entry on "global warming" is about 99% utter bull****.

I'm wondering where you found the 1%. The sad thing is about half of Americans would agree with that entry.

Nope, the project is real. Lots of brainwashed kids showcasing the intellectual and mental abuse they've been given.

Well do I have news for you!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modern_geocentrism

One adult American in five thinks the Sun revolves around the Earth, an idea science had abandoned by the 17th century.

http://www.gallup.com/poll/3742/new-poll-gauges-americans-general-knowledge-levels.aspx

Roughly 20% of Americans believe in geocentrism. Just for comparison - only about 25% of Americans were climate deniers in the 90's. If think tanks can raise that belief to 50%....

Well, according to the new Fox News paradigm, we have to give equal consideration to proponents of that theory in a debate.

Fair and balanced, ya know? ;) :mullet1:

Is the suggestion that 75% of people believed in Global Warming during the 90s? Just making sure I'm not missing some subtle word trickery here.

Sorry, I had the year wrong. I looked it up,

Percentage of Americans who believed in anthropogenic global warming in 2001: 75
Today: 44
- Harper's Index, February 2012 (http://harpers.org/archive/2012/02)

I'd like to compare this change to the amount of money spent on climate-denial organizations between 2001 and 2012, but can't find any good data.

I can't believe I didn't look this up earlier,

http://www.conservapedia.com/Tim_Tebow

In 2011, with the team in last place, the Broncos decided to start Tebow as quarterback. Tebow had an impressive seven-game winning streak, and took the Broncos to the division championship and a home-game appearance in the playoffs. He led them to a stunning upset victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers (headed by Hollywood-values quarterback Ben Roethlisberger) with 316 passing yards for an average of 31.6 yards per toss, confounding his critics and causing a million searches on the internet for the meaning of John 3:16.[1]

The Broncos, perhaps to appease Colorado liberals, found a way to trade Tebow without infuriating his numerous fans. The Broncos signed a neck-injured, elderly quarterback Peyton Manning to a deal costing nearly $100 million, and then immediately traded Tebow to the New York Jets.

I'm sure Elway, a staunch Republican who openly supported Bush back in the day, would be stunned to know he's really an atheist liberal who hates Christians.

Maybe TeaPublicans like DAN_DRAMA_LLAMA can explain how they reconcile these discrepancies between their claims and reality:

First, Corporate profits have risen to a 50 year all-time high while unemployment remains fairly high.

Second, Oil companies are making record profits while gas prices are nearly at their highest.

Now, the questions for the TeaPublicans are:

1. If their economic philosophy that more corporate profits = more jobs had any basis in fact, then shouldn't unemployment be at its lowest (considering the record profits corporations are making?)

2. Why should Americans continue the tax break for oil companies when the more profits they make, the higher our gas prices?

3. In consideration of all of the above, who are the TeaPublicans actually working for? The people or corporations and the top 1%?

That's one thing I realized when I was libertarian, that my taxes will be raised no matter who wins the election. I decided to start voting for the wiser of two spenders.
