I have a question to ask Jake Plummer on our show Monday night that may blow up the internet.

Easy. He hasn't played in five years. Highly doubtful. I just want to hear him say it.

Including putting in extra time to become a better QB. Which makes him the anti-Manning.

I hope we do it. Maybe we can trade him to either New York or Jacksonville, whichever one loses out on Tebow.

Why not? Plummer was pretty much the exact same QB as Manning when he played. He'd be able to drop right in.

Let's dig up slinging Sammy Baugh while we're at it. He's only slightly older and doesn't have the Neck problems. Probably more agile than Manning though.

I can't understand how anyone could be even remotely intrigued by this idea.

I would guess if we did something like this, we'd be saying that we just need a stopgap for a year while we draft defense and maybe offensive line, and will go after a top QB prospect next year...

Yeah, I think the guy choked his way out of a job. As a back-up I don't see how he'd be any better. If we're on a playoff run, and Manning goes down, and now the season is on Plummer's shoulders - he'll choke. I'd rather keep Tebow or find someone who can handle the pressure.

A 38 year old Plummer, five years out of the league, is a better option than Hanie, sad as that is to say.

Are we starting an old age home for QBs? I sort of liked Plummer, but dude is older than Manning. Are the two of them going to get AARP discounts together? It would make a cute commercial, with an injured Peyton helping an aged Plummer around the field though. I can feel a Mastercard priceless moment in this somewhere.

If you can't beat them join them.

The low point of live Bronco games I attended had to be seeing the "effort" Jake put out in 2006 backing up Cutler vs San Fran.

Plummer gave that game, and the playoffs, away.

It would be ironic for sure since the Broncos are not convinced Tebow could develop into a pure pocket passer and then would sign Plummer, for whom that was his biggest knock.

I figured. I certainly didn't believe the Broncos were actually interested in Plummer. I was referring more to the people who seemed to honestly think it was a good idea.
