If the Titans do sign Manning and Tebow wants out any way we could sign Locker, I've been a fan of his since his days at Washington. I mean we've bashed Orton, Tebow, Quinn, Manning's neck, what is one more guy that we can add to the mix???

Not happening.

I wish, but not happening.

We'd have to throw way too much at them.

Locker isn't going nowhere and he wouldn't ask for a trade either. Hes not bigger than the team.

send them our 1st. I think if the Tebow demanding a trade rumor is true then Weeden becomes our pick at 25. I'd rather send that to Tennessee and get Locker.

Locker would be Aaron rodger'd. No reason to move him for Tennessee.

Locker will absorb under Manning like Rogers under Favre.

I really like Locker. Good athletic tools and good moxie. If TEN got Manning, I would definitely welcome Locker since its now basically a given that Tebow can't return given that the FO, in its infinite wisdom, has poisoned the relationship.

Do you guys think we'd really deal with Tenn after this? Sincerely doubt it.

If they actually did offer Locker, and Tebow wants out, we would do well not to let the Manning business affect our decision. I would give them Tebow and our 2nd or 3rd if they take that for Locker.
I doubt that would happen becuase Locker is relatively cheap and has good upside, but ignoring an offer would be cutting off your nose to spite your face. It is a business deal. You have to forget about Manning.

Locker will absorb under Manning like Rogers under Favre.

And like Painter and Sorgi under Manning. ROFL!

For how long? he is in his 2nd season now. his contract was a 4 year deal. all teams in the Manning bidding are going off his previous deal which was a 5 year deal. if the offer is good i think Locker can be taken from Tennessee. we won't get him for nothing, but a conditional 2nd that becomes a 1st based on playing time type of deal or just the number 25 pick outright might be enough to get it done, as even if he sits behind Peyton and learns, his contract will expire before he sees the field in Tennessee. all signs point to Peyton being healthy. why would the Titans bother releasing a healthy Peyton to see if Locker has anything in a few years

I wasn't impressed with him in college and I don't expect him to be anything more than a backup in the NFL.

They won't trade Locker, if they sign Manning he will be the guy for 2 or 3 years and then Locker gets his shot - it will be how Green Bay handled the Favre-Rodgers takeover.

It would be a good deal for Denver if we could swing something for Locker. But I doubt it happens.

He's not quite the freak of nature tebow is in the weight room, but he's up there. He can throw no problem with his mechanics, and if you watch some of his college games he was pretty accurate, but his accuracy couldn't be helped by his receivers because they had a case of the drops every game.

Favre was known for not doing **** to help Rogers. It was upon Rogers to absorb what Favre did. Painter and Sorgi obviously failed at that under Manning.

From what I understand, if Locker feels screwed over or believes he isn't getting a fair shake in the NFL, he can just walk on to the California Angels and has a nice, fat check waiting for him.

I watched him a number of times in college (not live) and he never struck me as anything more than just okay. I was much more impressed with his replacement this past year. Statistically, Price threw for more yards (3,063 / 2,265), more TD passes (33 / 17), had a higher completion percentage (66.9% / 55.4%), and had a higher QB rating (161.92 / 124.20) than Locker in his final year at UW. Interceptions were about the same (11 / 9). I don't know much about the receivers at UW, but I'm assuming Price had about the same thing to work with as Locker but was much more productive.

I've just never understood the fascination with Locker. He could prove me wrong, but he just hasn't done anything to wow me to this point.

Sounds like a fair observation, maybe I'm a Lockerite, not a Tebowite and I'm just biasedly blind

But but, he got injured and ran less than Tebow. Scored fewer TD's total and Ran for fewer yards, against PAC 10 defenses, and not even SEC Defenses...

I hate this **** that Locker is a good QB but Tebow isn't.

Locker isn't ****. He's just a bad Tim Tebow.

The notion that he's "less upset" over Manning, or more able to handle it than Tebow is comical to me.

All I'm going off is that Tebow wants out. So why not try and replace him with some who may be better? None of know what either guy is going to do in his career, .... right? I mean Locker is comparable, so if Timmy hits the door then why not try to bring someone in???
