Wait...you mean other teams can sign people and they are not waiting on the decision of a single player?

Winston is an excellent signing by the Chiefs.

That would have been real good for Denver, as it would have allowed us to move Franklin to LG. Not a good sign when Pioli makes us look dickless. It's kind of like having Bob lecture you about relationships with women, except worse.

Glad to see we have a RT and TE who can block this year.

And Kamerion Wimbley is visiting KC on Monday. He'd be a good signing.

Chiefs are making moves to get better and wer'e waiting for
Melon Head to make his decision so we can have a QB that
will get killed behind our line.

This is just disheartening.

Opportunity knocks and and we are too busy talking with an old
"buddy" of Elways to answer the door.

Richard Quinn?

Brady Quinn, recently of the Broncos.

Gives them depth and another body in camp.
As long as they don't let him in any games he'll be
#2 on their depth chart.

Winston is average. Good depth.

Winston was the 4th best run blocking tackle in the entire NFL, and only allowed 20 pressures last season.

Unfortunately for Von Miller, KC won't be fielding the worst RT in the entire league and a TE who can't block.

Winston and Boss are very solid blockers (as is Hillis). Von's gonna have to work for his sacks against us this year.

Quinn is really good at completing "the pick" the way Pioli likes it. There's an art to it.

Bowlen should have kept Shanny but reigned in his GM powers. That is when the decline started.

BTW who is KFC's starting C?

Red Knight? And Winston's been a very good OT for Houston. He's a good run blocker too (ask Arian Foster).

Our C will be Rodney Hudson, the consensus best C in the 2011 draft.

Winston was a very good signing for the Chiefs. Top 15 FA imo. Probably the second best OT available. Rest of the signings were value signings. Give the Chiefs more depth, but likely not going to be impact players. Guys that the Chiefs should have went after in previous seasons.

I think Hillis is terrible though, and doesn't seem to fit at all for what the Chiefs have. They aren't going to have an explosive offense as long as Cassel is their QB, so having a RB that puts the ball on the ground is not a good mix.

We signed Hillis strictly because of Daboll. Daboll did get the best out of Hillis in his system in Cleveland, but I'm not sure Hillis will get to that point again. I'd take Hillis over Thomas Jones any day though.
I think Hillis can get tough short yards and he can block, something Jones was terrible at.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with Hillis though. I was more in favor of Tolbert, but Hillis

Right now it is let a 3rd string go, trade a 2nd stringer and sign a HOF QB. Sounds pretty good and good chance it pans out. Chiefs get Quinn and we get Manning. Hmm, who wins?
