View Full Version : What About Cooper?

Lost in the Peyton Manning debate is that we have ANOTHER viable option. What about Cooper?

He's 38 years young, but that just means he's more experienced, right? AND like Peyton, he's got some spinal issues!

And let's call a spade a spade, this provides an in-road to Denver's true goal... paving the way for the eventual rise of Marshall Manning.

Cooper, he's doing good. He's my son, and he wants TEBOW, but I am talking him off the ledge. (haha he's 4).

Look at the bright side, Rev. When Tebow gets traded to Jacksonville you'll be able to watch him play in person!

...what?

I have nothing but bright-side. Clearly I love Tebow but I also think Peyton is the GOAT... always have. Been one of the few Denver fans to not bash him mercilessly out of humiliated jealousy.

Best off-season ever for me regardless of what happens. :)

...but he's still not coming here.

Okay, sorry, I thought you were against this whole thing. My bad.

...but he's still not coming here.

You mean Tebow to J-ville or PM to Denver?

Well of it isn't PM it'll be Flynn or tannehill or weeden or osweiler or whoever else Elway brings in. make no mistake QB has been and is the number 1 priority for them to upgrade.

Heavy scouting all year at the QB position. Making public that you will bring in 2. Sitting in the front row for QB pro days. Making QB your first FA move. The signs are all there.

Well probably both.

For some reason...I think we are not trading Tebow. When we sign Manning we will be set at QB. I think Tebow doesn't have much of a trade value... plus the Jags picked Gabbert and his new coach is confident he will turn him around.

If Tebow is traded to Jax I hope it's for picks and not Gabbert! Though I still hope Tebow is allowed to stick as a backup/insurance in case Peyton goes down.

Lol

1. Its the only available "FA move"

2. Its not "a QB"... Its Peyton ****ing Manning.

Don't make fun of Cooper, he's in the Hall of Fame:

The latter part sums it up really albeit I acually disagree with you cos I think they will sign Peyton and they will trade Tebow, off course the latter is boomeranged off the former.

Yes let's get this back on track.

Sign Cooper! Who better for Tim to learn from than one of the Holy Trinity itself?

Look at how not taking a snap in college did wonders for Cassel in the NFL, I think Cooper's got a shot! As a bonus, he can obviously call both of his brothers for advice and hang with them in the offseason.

If we trade with Jax it would have to be along these lines.
1. we sign Manning

2. Jax gets Tebow and our 1st. We get Jax 1st and Gabbert, + a 2nd maybe 3rd.
3. Jax gets a playoff winning QB (project), big fan draw and full stadium , we get a higher 1st, extra pick and project backup qb.

Both sides can say they got a fair deal and are looking forward to working with their new players. Jax probably comes out on top if Tebow pans out long term, vs Gabbert. Extra draft potential is the equaliser. Without this kind of deal fans will be pissed that Elway is just dumping Tebow for anything he can get.

Without Manning none of this makes sense, except for damage done to relationship between Tebow and FO.

I'd like to see Tebow stay here but its looking like that is not in his best interest, or Elways/Fox long term plans. The fact that Manning is the FA in question is the only thing that might salvage some credibility for them...but if they lose on acquiring him and draft another QB in the first 5 rounds the writing is clear for Tebow and his agent.

Ok am in castle rock now soon to drive up to mile high stadium but I will also jump on light rail so I can ensure the cooper talk is solid there because once on the light rail it's a done deal I hear. Go Cooper!

Agree Manning is GOAT and I hated the guy when he kept demolishing us.

Why do you believe he will not come here ?

Why would he?

Better teams in better markets without Tebow drama want him just as badly as Elway.
