With Henson they would have won by 10, so I'm not really seeing why the Committee should have penalized them for a 3 pt. loss to FSU at less than full strength.

Wasn't Henson playing the first time they lost to FSU this year? They weren't in the top 5 before not winning the ACC.

And Calipari might be able to keep his championship this time, unless he's pulling the same stuff with Davis that he did with Rose.

I have Michigan/NC State for the Midwest bid to the Final Four. NC State is my Cinderella however I think they only make the Elite Eight. Also what the **** is with these geeks at Harvard? 26-4, and you can criticize the conference they play in, however they did breed Jeremy Lin. I wonder if this is their MIT Black Jack club, and they're raping the bookies.

Even though they didn't have Henson, UNC got a run for their money from State. And had to get a bull **** call to win. Based on their potential matches, I say that they could make it to the round of 8.

I knew Syracuse was going to miss Fab Melo, I didn't think it would be against UNC-Ashville. I watched this game today and no longer have any respect for 'Cuse in this tournament. They won because of two TERRIBLE ref calls, against a #16 seed it should have been a blow out.

Congrats to the UNC-Ashville Bulldogs who even in losing have impressed me the most this tournament so far.

My bracket went 14/16 on day one losing only UConn and Harvard (one of my dark horses). VCU with a big upset!

Yep. I was reading a thing the other day about how to pick the best bracket and it said that if you want to win, you have to pick something crazy. If you just pick favorites, you're gonna have the same bracket as 90+% of the people. Something crazy always happens so you just have to guess what it'll be. Still, most people just pick favorites and go with it.

I missed the Indiana/VCU game, but it looks like it was a good game.

Nice to see the Hoosiers in the Sweet Sixteen again.

I was out with some VCU alum fans last night watching the game and it was a terribly played game by VCU. They had a 4-6 point lead for the longest yet rather than just hold on to it, they were throwing up 3s everywhere and missing them all. With a lead in the closing minutes, you don't need turnaround fadeaway threes yet they kept throwing crap up. The only thing I could think of (I don't know the teams well or anything) is that there was some big man presence on Indiana's squad that they were afraid of. Otherwise it just didn't make sense.

Solid work Sparty....outside of Michigan, the Big Ten has represented themselves well thus far in the tournament.

Draymond Green with his 21st double-double of the season. He's got like 12 rebounds to go before he breaks the all-time Michigan State rebound record. He's the most complete, and dare I say best, MSU player since Magic Johnson. Player of the Year, IMO.

This team has a defense which will keep them in any game, and especially this year, they can beat any other team in the tournament. Tough test next round with Louisville.

I think it's a testament to the seeding that 3 of the 4 divisions are dominated by their top 4 seeds. South and West both have the 1, 3, and 4 still alive (Mizzou and Duke being the 2s) while the East is one game away from the 1,2,3 and 4 all making it to the 16. That's awesome.

I'm a die hard Heels fan and it's frustrating that they aren't 100% and won't be the rest of the tourney with Marshall being hurt. He is the straw that stirs the drink. I was quite disappointed in Louisville today. I like both UK and Louisville (face it, for those living in KY, there's not much else) but did some undergrad at Louisville so I was rooting for them to win it. Louisville showed why they always fall short today, I thought. The same things facing them today are the things I see when I watch second tier schools in tournament time - the players just don't have the skill to overcome the flaws and the nerves expose those flaws. For example, UK was up 11 points and Louisville takes it to a 2 point game. What happens then? A 6 minute dry spell. Louisville felt victory within their grasps and the players just didn't know how to react. They were throwing up anything they could when they had absolutely no reason to attempt craziness. Louisville got nervous and caved while UK had the superior talent to overcome any nerves. Louisville was DESTROYING on the offensive boards but just couldn't do a single thing with it. For all the opportunities they had, any half decent shooting team should've been able to make something happen there. Unfortunately, it was air balls and bricks galore everytime they got within reach of UK.

In the end, basketball is a game of whits and skill. UK just has the skill that Louisville didn't and Louisville let their nerves get the best of their whits.

He has to keep those things as his signature. There's no other reason to be caught in public with that caterpillar on the bridge of your nose.

It's a shame Carolina didn't have Kendall Marshall against KU. We'd probably be looking forward to a rematch of the great game between the Heels and Cats from earlier this season.

It was an excellent season. I came to love Kentucky during my times there and was proud as could be that they sent two teams to the Final Four. My only regret is that the NCAA and NBA still have it set up so basically the entire squad did their one year and will move on so it'll be mostly a new squad next year. I liked this squad more than last year's and wish I could root for them for another couple years.
