I do wish him the best in whatever the Manning family decides, Smith said. I dont know why you would ask me. And I dont know why anyone is asking Peyton. If you really want to know whats going on what trips hes making and where hes going to play call Archie.

He prefaced it by saying: I dont know, and I really dont care, Smith told Kevin Acee of U-T San Diego. I concentrate on the Chargers.

Then why comment at all? He still holds a grudge over the Eli fiasco.

He's a douche for saying Peyton isn't calling his own shots. But, I figure Archie's in the loop.

No. I would say, "No comment." I can perfectly understand why AJ would make the comment, but then, I've always considered him to be a classless ahole.

Well, it's safe to say Smith isn't a guy you'd want fronting your organization in recruiting or selling your program.

I hope Manning reads that quote today. He'll want to come back here so he can kick the Charger's asses twice a year. ;D

Archie was huge on Eli going to NY and the Chargers ending up with Rivers instead.

Eli has two Super Bowls.

Never hurt Elway taking his dad's advice and it certainly did not hurt Eli. Nice try AJ but you are the one that comes out looking the fool. Nothing new.

AJ is under tremendous pressure, not that I give a rats ***! I agree w/ Rohirrim on this one. At first he says no comment, then he throws out a not too disguised barb at the Manning family, particularly Archie.

This guy knows that if his chargers don't get it done again this year, he is done. What team would want to hire an egomaniacal GM that sqaundered some of the best talent in the AFC, in the worst division in the AFC, and hired a notoriously weak coach for the sole purpose of having a puppet?

So yes, this is sour grapes. It is also desperation as he may be done after this year.

I bet the Manning's are laughing it up over this one.

Eli Manning: 2 Super Bowls

AJ Smith: ZERO

Hilarious!
