Denver Broncos
2004-05

In his rookie year, he started 14 of 16 games and led the Broncos with 114 tackles (82 solo). He also recorded two sacks, one interception and one forced fumble.[4] Although an early candidate for Defensive Rookie of the Year,[5] the award went to then-New York Jets linebacker Jonathan Vilma.

2005-06

Williams was moved from his weak-side linebacker position to strong-side linebacker following the Broncos signing of Ian Gold.[6] He finished with 55 tackles (39 solo) while adding three pass deflections and one forced fumble.. Williams also contributed two tackles and a forced fumble on special teams.[4]
He pleaded guilty in September 2005 to driving drunk and was ordered to perform 24 hours of community service.[7]

2006-07

In the 2006 season, he amassed 76 tackles (59 solo), a sack, one forced fumble, two pass deflections.[4]

2007-08

Following the injury-related release of Al Wilson, Williams was moved to his third position, middle linebacker.[6] He finished the 2007 season 2nd in the NFL[8] with 141 tackles (106 solo) along with one sack and one interception.[4]

2009-10

2009 brought change to the Broncos defense when former Patriots offensive coordinator, Josh McDaniels was hired as head coach. McDaniels hired former 49ers head coach and defensive guru Mike Nolan as defensive coordinator. Nolan installed the 3-4 defense, in which he moved D.J. Williams to inside linebacker (ILB). Playing the "Jack" ILB position (same as Patrick Willis - 49ers), Williams finished the season with 122 tackles, 3.5 sacks and 3 forced fumbles. On November 12, 2010, Williams was pulled over by a Police officer for driving without headlights on. He was cited for DUI, a misdemeanor and driving without headlights. As this was his second DUI charge, Williams faces a mandatory 10-day jail sentence and a minimum of two years probation if he is convicted - he was ordered to appear in court on December 13.[7]
As a result of the arrest, the Denver Broncos fined Williams and demoted him from Defensive Co-Captain. It was also announced that he would not start the Week 10 match-up against AFC West rivals the Kansas City Chiefs.[7]
By the end of the season, Williams finished with 119 tackles (94 solo), 5.5 sacks, 9 pass deflection and 1 forced fumble.

I think Cassidy drove it for awhile but Jack didn't like the hard drug scene (he stuck to booze) and only went on 1 trip with them or they came to NY and crashed at Jack's pad, I don't remember.

Wavy Gravy took a simular buss through eastern Europe while in a full body cast after getting beat on by pigs during some sit in. I think they were trying to do the kyberpass as it was going to be closed soon. They made it there and back.

Jack didn't like the speed heads and he pined for Cassidy's wife who lived in Denver.

On the Road is a very good book, his decription of the drive from Chicago to Denver is still spot on minus all the new towns and cheap motels every 30 miles.

I heard there was a change of plans and we're going to throw all that money set aside for Manning and split it between Ray Rice and Matt Forte. Between those two and Tebow, Fox will finally have the offense he wants. His hope is to have fewer than 100 pass plays next year.

"We take the incident involving Knowshon Moreno very seriously, and are thoroughly reviewing this matter," the Broncos said in a statement Monday. "Our organization will continue to gather information and closely monitor this issue while the legal process takes its course."

Moreno, the No. 12 overall pick of the 2009 draft, is currently rehabilitating a torn ACL he suffered during the 2011 season. Denver is expected to bring in a running back either early in the draft or in free agency. Moreno lost his starting job to Willis McGahee last season.

Moreno's best chance of sticking in Denver in 2012 likely is as a third-down back. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7550603/knowshon-moreno-denver-broncos-faces-drunken-driving-charge

The only rationale for keeping Moreno on our roster is that he can catch, and is therefore a good "screen" runningback. Oh, that and he's in a rookie contract.

I don't see this as a good rationale for keeping him. We can get another rookie who is a good "screen" runningback, and might actually have some actual "general purpose" upside that we're not getting out of Moreno.

I think the guy is a dead spot on our roster and is frankly one of the most disappointing draft picks in Broncos history.

Team will probably have quite a bit of turnaround. First full yr for Fox/Elway/Xandars to really get into the roster. I'd say its 100% Moreno is gone. I'd guess we have as many as 12 new players next yr. We have quite a few of our avg linebackers hitting FA. We probably let them all walk.
