Anyone have a good method for keeping beer at that right temp?

In the freezer and it freezes if you slow down, in the fridge and it's cold but not ice cold...

Do you have to run an icechest at your house to keep it just right?

All week I thought the Giants would win, but they seem kind of over confident to me and I think Patriots have been laying low and keeping their mouths shut like Denver did in Super Bowl 32.

I hope Ochocinco has a role in today's game. I was always amused by his antics.

Just read Fault for the Pats and Herzlich for the Giants are inactive. The end for Faulk, probably, and a sad ending to the fun story that was Herzlich.

I saw on Mythbusters they poured a bunch of salt over ice in the ice chest, and it cooled the beers down with a quickness.

its funny you say that

my wife signed the kids up as toy testers, and well they got a 7-11 slurpee maker, and you put 2 cups of crushed ice, with 1/4 cup salt in the center cooling chamber, then the pop around the outside and stir, and in 5 minutes you have a slurpee, i tried it without the salt, and it doesnt work.

I'm seriously contemplating not even watching the game. I would've gone skiing had I got it together to do so.

I hate both of these teams, and the East Coast Media jeez fest is hard to stand.

The city of Indianapolis is about as exciting as eating a saltine cracker with a side of vanilla pudding.

The creativity of the commercials has sucked the past 3 or 4 years.

I have no desire to watch a 79-year-old Madonna gyrate around the stage and dry hump a gay backup dancer who's young enough to be her grandson.

Well played NFL.

U2 a couple of months after the WTC attacks was memorable. of course, that was the "modern" U2. i would have loved to see the U2 of the 1980's do a superbowl halftime, but that version of the band only exists in our memories now.

ditto. i haven't watched even a single minute of it. just no interest in either team. unless the Broncos are in it, the superbowl is a bloated, tedious spectacle that just doesn't interest me. i did watch the second half of Chelsea and Man. I'm living in the past but the 98 Broncos would've killed either one of those teams. An awesome O-line. That was the most overlooked aspect of that team.
When you look back, we really had a dream team on the offensive line. That was incredible...

I just like saying that every year because that was a special team. I'd put them up against any SB team. Including the 89 49ers.

Would've loved to see that team face up against the '99 rams or 2000 ravens.

Congrats to Eli Manning, the unsung hero.
Quietly directed his team to a come-from-behind victory in the title game...

It's not overlooked. People talk about it all the time. If anything it's overblown. There was only one HoF-caliber player on that line. What's overlooked is how good the defense was, especially when the playoffs started.

I think we would've beat them both but the ravens would've been tough.

The Ravens would've been easier if you ask me. Their defense was amazing but so was our offense, and they had virtually no offense while our defense played lights out in the playoffs. I see a 17-6 score being most likely honestly.

The Rams would probably be the tougher matchup if you ask me, especially if they played them on artificial turf. But a big time of possession advantage I think would ultimately decide it in favor of the Broncos. That's the thing people don't get about the '98 Broncos. They scored 30+ points a game while only throwing it thirty times on average. So not only did you have to beat them in a shootout you had very little time to do it. That kind of ball control and scoring is simply unheard of.

Hard to name more than a couple QB's that I'd take over baby melon head the way he's been playing lately.

Best QB of all time my ass.

:Broncos:

Brady was 2 of 7 for 30 yards on that final drive, with 1 sack.

if Tebow does that, he's mocked and ridiculed. Brady? not so much.

Rams pass O was as good as ours but our run O was better. Our defense was better. Any defense that can win with Dilfer is really good. Still think we'd win.

That's because Tebow does that all of the time, not just on rare occassions.

If you can't understand that, well...there's no help for you...

i'm not comparing the two in terms of talent or skill or experience, just highlighting how dumb some of the criticisms have been this past season of Tebow. it was also dishonest criticism because it was wholly without context.

the exact same crummy stretches from other QBs went almost completely without comment in the media.

PIT got burned by buying into all the media nonsense about how Tebow couldn't beat them passing the ball. yet we still have people here on the OM mocking Tebow and complaining that he couldn't hit the side of a barn.

well, 2 of 7 with the SB on the line is awful. i want to hear ESPN call out Brady for choking.

Yes, the defense, while average during the regular season, came on during the playoffs, same with the defense in XXXIII. But to say that OL was overblown is a naive statement. One of the best and instrumental in both of those seasons and the SB's.

It's not naive. They were one of the best lines of their day, but they aren't one of the greatest of all-time like some make them out to be. The skill players on that offense on the other hand do comprise one of the best groups to ever be assembled.
