I have to admit, I hate both these teams. When it comes to who I want to win, I really don't care. I just want to see Brady have that arrogance he displayed against the Broncos shoved into the dirt by the Ratbird pass rush. I can't say, "Go Ravens" (that would make my stomach turn), but I will celebrate every sack. ;D

See Wilfork drive right into the pocket, destroying the play? I've wanted the Broncos to draft a DT like that for fifteen years.

It was there we just didn't executeYep, had we ran the naked boot...like Flaco just did...then, Tim would have had many plays down field.

I'd been wanting McCoy to call the naked boot all year long...then, finally he does it against the Steelers and Tebow goes 50yds down the field.

Then we go to NE...and not once do we run it!!!

Vine

True it was unterthrown. I should have clarified that the play call was beautiful, not the actual pass. Good play calling can overcome occasional bad passes. Too bad McCoy doesn't realize that.

I know what you meant. Let's hope that is developed in the offseason. Because with Tebow a defense gets frozen when you roll him out. They undoubtedly play his run first.

Yep, I would have done at least what the commentator started to say. Bring the offense out on the field, call a qb sneak if he likes what he sees, if the Patriots look to be plugging up the middle, try drawing an offside, and if that don't work, allow the play clock to run out, lose 5 yards, and still kick a short FG.

Depends on the rush. Brady to me has looked best when the Ravens bring 3 or 4. Drives at will. Then the field shortens, the Raven bring more up front and Brady starts to struggle.

I agree. I think we'd have one of the best corps in the league with a big time burner on the outside. Decker, Royal, Thomas, and a burner would mean you could attack every level of the defense.

So what do you think is more likely to happen:

1. Our QB suddenly develops into an efficient pocket passer that can run those quick short, timing passes along with Willis/Royal also developing into a Welker type, as well as Fells/Rosario or Julius Thomas turning into Alexander/Gronk?

or

2. Signing a LG like Grubbs/Nicks to vastly improve the pocket protection?

So what do you think is more likely to happen:

1. Our QB suddenly develops into an efficient pocket passer that can run those quick short, timing passes along with Willis/Royal also developing into a Welker type, as well as Fells/Rosario or Julius Thomas turning into Alexander/Gronk?

or

2. Signing a LG like Grubbs/Nicks to vastly improve the pocket protection?

Signing Grubbs or Nicks would be huge for us and I know what your saying

Don't want to hear that Patriots get every bounce.. that was insane how it bounced right to the Ravens player.

Well, they had been getting every bounce up til that Woodhead fumble.

Hard to find an open guy when you get instant pressure like that.

A TD would've been nice, but the Ratbirds have to keep playing their game.

NE is so intent on showing off how good their fancy passing game is, they're forgetting the Ratbirds are leaving the run open.

And I know what you're saying also. Tebow definitely has his weakenesses in timing/accurate and those short quick passes.

But we DO have a pretty good intermediate passing game with Decker/Thomas/Tebow. So let's improve what does work and make it a strength, while Tebow can work on his weakenesses!

I dunno. I've thought about this but how much of an impact would a 3rd WR make in this offense?

Thomas has done enough to be a primary WR and Decker is a good compliment. But both of those guys work best on the sidelines, especially Thomas.

I really think we need a big, fast TE who can exploit the middle. I mean, the best offenses are those that can run multiple plays from the SAME formation.

Our base formation for the majority of the time is two wide (thomas/decker), two back (Larsen/McGahee) and an in line blocking TE.

Except our TEs aren't strong and fast enough to chip in line and then release and get open in three seconds. The Best TEs do this consistently and that's why they can be lined up, motioned, moved and a safety or LB has to follow.

Nobody cares about Fells or Rosario doing that because they can't. One of the reasons why our offense is so predicteable is because our formations constantly give away whether it's run or pass since our TEs aren't pass catchers and we have to go 4/5 wide if we want to pass the ball.

That's all good but I don't think they will go with the same offense next year. I think it will be more of a traditional Pro set and they will see if Tebow can run it and if he can't I think they move on
