Don't really have a horse in this race. Giants defense is really coming on and there are a lot of distractions going on with the Packers. I don't know what to expect, but I think this shapes up to be a very hard fought game.

If Jennings is anywhere near 100% it gives the Giants a matchup problem.

First big play to the Giants. Nicks scores. Another one of those stupid hit and don't wrap up things from the safety.

Not sure what the point of replay is when they can't get that play right. Can't imagine how they explain calling him down on that play.

I don't get that call either. It was clearly a fumble. Not even close. There wasn't a judgment to be made. The ball clearly came out before his knee or any part of his backside hit the ground. His hand, forearm, and elbow were also in the air. At the time the ball came out the only part of his body touching the ground were his feet. On replay they even paused it, showing the ball out and he was still in the air. I don't know what that ref was looking at. This game should not be tied right now.

yep.that will change the whole complexion of the game.

The funny thing about that one was that the video had a clear shot of the play. There weren't any other players in the way. It was the perfect camera angle to show whether it was a fumble or not, and the ref still got it wrong. That was as bad of a replay decision that I've ever seen. I wonder if the refs have to talk to the media, because he needs to answer for that decision.

G-Men!! if nothing else I would like Eli to win another SuperBowl to make the Holidays awkward at the Manning House. Can you picture Eli at the dinner table.."Payton pass me the mashed potatoes.. my hands are a little heavy with these Superbowl Rings on both my fingers".

The way Eli is playing they might beat the Pats in a shootout. Rogers is much more elusive than Brady. Brady might get destroyed by the Giants pass rush.

Rodgers just got smoked.

Blow to the head?

Refs bailing them out all day, and they still get smoked at home by double digits. NY in Late December and January is a different team. It's crazy, but happens this way every year it seems.

To be fair, the Giants have always been a much more talented team than they often appear to be at times throughout the season. They've got decent/good talent almost everywhere and couple superstars at spots like DL. They're peaking at just the right time.

3 days. I was going to say the same thing about 1996 but that game was decided by 3 points. Granted I think New York is much better than the Jaguars were.

01-15-2012, 04:57 PM
Hmm, so how are the Giants doing this? Are they sitting back in coverage or getting after the QB and playing aggressively? Hint: It isn't what the Broncos keep thinking works and fails every time.

Of course, the Giants for many years have spent 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round picks on DL and that might help a defense get pressure on the QB.

Please someone in the Bronco FO be watching the 49ers and the Giants to see how you build and use a defense. Stop bringing in stopgaps to play the DL and get serious. Not since Trevor Pryce has this defense had a great DL, that teams had to worry where he was all the time. Can we just get one at least if not a few like some of the better defenses have?

KCStud

Giants have the most balanced team in the league. The only thing that team doesn't have is a good running attack.
I think they're gonna win it all.

Agamemnon
01-15-2012, 05:08 PM
This game illustrates why a team needs a good defense to back up their dominant offense. Packers' defense was crappy all year outside of turnovers, and today it bit them in the ass.
