View Full Version : How did everyone handle the loss?

How did everyone handle the loss? I hope it was as eloquently as me.

I went to a party and got absolutely drunk as sh1t and then went to the bars and got even drunker. I passed out in throwup with my phone missing, cuts of my face, and dried blood. It was great.

I did wear my Royal jersey out.

I also remember getting into a big argument with these girls from UF, they hated Tebow. They thought he was a terrible person for saying he's a virgin. Apparently he had sex with their best friend.

And then I got caught looking at her ass by her sister.

The game played out just as I feared. The defense was horrible, and Tebow was contained in the pocket. I was much more upset at the last KC game...

I am still pissed with the way we played the game..
We kept running the ball though it didn't work.

I handled it fine. I did not expect a playoff appearance this season. So anything on top of that was a bonus.

But some of the negativity around here is bordering on comical. To those people I say...take a break. Dont get so worked up over something you have no control over.

More disappointed in the fact they didn't show up at all when it was going to take a perfect performance to win.

They're way ahead of schedule and young, so there's hope.

I wore my 24 Bailey to the bar last night, surprisingly there were a few other Broncos fans out but not a single Patriot fan to be seen. I was disappointed with how big the difference was between the two teams, but not really surprised that we lost so I had a few beers, went home and shot some noobs online and had a good nights sleep.

Didn't get upset at all. We went alot farther than I ever thought we would this season, especially after the 1-4 start we had. I had ZERO expectation that we would beat New England this week. They are just alot better team that we are at almost every position.... Including coaching. Brady can not live forever and Bellicheck will pull a Shanny once Tom retires and fade into mediocrity.

I am very proud of what this team was able to accomplish this season... With an entire new coaching staff and no OT's and such. This upcoming season has alot of promise if we draft well and HIT on a couple of free agents this off season.

Was ok with losing but hated the WAY we lost. Living in Miami, its a constant battle with FSU and UM (which im a Canes fan but broncos are number 1) tards who love to rub it in your face that tebow lost in a big way. Going to have to hear it all offseason now

I didn' handle it well last night, but I'm fine now. After the last 25 years, I'm used to the Broncos getting blown out in the playoffs

I was fine, it was expected. I was just thrilled with the way the season turned out and excited as hell for next season. Did have a Pittsburgh fan tell me that wouldn't have happened to them. I looked at him and said, we beat you, what does that truly say about your team.

This was me, KC was the game I was pissed at. Watched this game with a buddy who is an Eagles (and UF) fan and another buddy who watched with me last week when his Steelers lost to us. When I sent the email out to invite them over to watch, I titled it "come watch the Broncos lose."

I was a little upset somewhere in the end 1st/beg 2nd, but after that came the gallows humor and I was joking about how comically bad we were.

Disappointment for me eventhough our play-off run was going to be short, yet, you give yourself a sliver of hope that we could keep on going.
We just fell short. Not enough firepower to go head to head with a team like New England...

disappointed but didn't expect them to go far, too many holes and green guys at key positions.

kicked the cat, beat the wife and kids

how do you think i handled it, i had a beer, said oh well and got ready for a game that actually mattered, my sons hockey game, unfortunately it went the same way as the football game, son got a goal and 2 assists, but nobody else showed up and we got hammered.

As I mentioned in another thread, I am taking the loss unusually well. Furthermore, I got way more drunk after the Steeler win than I did last night. In fact, I decided to quit drinking right after the game and just watch a movie. Not sure what that means really, it's so unlike me.

One more thing, and I could be wrong, but doesn't it seem that generally speaking, the long-time Broncos fans are the ones putting this loss in perspective by recognizing that simply we just need more talent. While it's the Tebow only fans that are blowing their immature fuses?

But like I said, I could be wrong. ;)

Saddened, disappointed the season ended so badly. Wishing things went differently, depressed.

It seemed every time the Broncos played the good teams this year, they were on the wrong end of a 45+ beat down.

I'm hoping that stops after this year.

Speaking for myself.. beating the Steelers was my Superbowl. Last night was a ass whipping.. watched the whole game.. but I really didn't expect anything going into the game.

am i the only one who preferred to lose big ?

i mean if we lost by a field goal we would always have the what ifs, as it was, we have nothing, we were outplayed badly, it happens

dont get me wrong i would have rather won, but i think its easier to handle losing big

The blowout losses are more embarrassing to me.

If it's close, I can at least delude myself into believing that the Broncos have a shot & can compete with the elite teams.

Fine with the loss, actually expected it.

Pissed about not even trying to win or give them a good game.

Out of everything, the thing that pisses/pissed me off the most, was when we forced them to punt down 14-7. What do we do when we get the ball?? Run, run, run (stupid ass option play), punt!! We could have tied the game with more aggressive play calling but of course we did what we had predictably done all season long. The reason our run didn't work is because they KNEW what plays we were going to call..everyone and their damn mom know we aren't throwing on 1st. It's just as much the stubborn ass play calling we lost as anything else!!

all other games are competitive..Well, we played like an 8-8 team..
I am tired of run, run and then ask Tebow to pass on 3rd down.
It won't work like that..
It will be frustrating if we see the same type of playcalling next season.

I think you're absolutely right. I was upset with the loss, but happy with how far we got. I predicted a 4 win season, so graying happy w the progress.

That von miller comment above was hilarious. Good to see he had some fire in him afterall.

Seem like quite a few others are laying the blame at Tebows feet, then the O line, the receivers and the defense. There is no ONE thing to blame...we were outclassed from the first kick off and it showed from the first play in scrimmage. Coaches on down it was a complete failure.

Being upset is a waste of energy, and doesn't do anything to make it better. Relax and wait for the offseason to see what moves the team makes. The only way I'll be upset is if the team doesn't do anything effective to get better (open the checkbook Bowlen...!).

I was disappointed that they couldn't make a run. Glad we got that far, though, and hope it helps with the rebuild.

It's tough watching your team get blownout. This game reminds me so much of Super Bowl XXIV.just watching the other team score at will. Elway and Tebow both had eerily similar stats. Elway was 10 of 26 for a little over 100 yards and 2 picks and 2 fumbles.
I hope John remembers that when evaluating Tebow. Kid has earned the right to start next year.

Nah, I would've been much happier with a loss if there was a display of some heart in there. Never would've expected the amount of quit we showed yesterday. The O-Line was basically on smoke break the whole second half. Everyone else wasn't far behind. Made me feel bad for guys like Champ and especially Dawk.
