Jaguars hire Mularkey

Nfl.com

Kinda surprised after that playcalling performance vs NYG

not really shocking, he's seen as a brilliant offensive mind and his QB's tend to do well under him. they have Gabbert and they badly need him to succeed(they also need some NFL WR's)

Mark Mularkey. Good hire for the Jags.

Any chance the Rams will give McCoy a call instead of Allen. I like both, but if I had to lose one, it would be McCoy.

Wonder if McCoy wishes he ran the ball on 24/24 first downs now.

not real keen to lose the dude who might prevent Tebow from becoming the pre 2011 Alex Smith(sans the Norv Turner year)

Ironic in that Mularkey is the coach that basically blew us off because he wanted nothing to do with Tebow, and he goes to the one city that would give their collective souls to trade for Tebow. Guess this kills any Tebow to Jax trade speculation?

...I think crushing Pittsburgh through the air is what killed any Tebow to anywhere speculation...

I wonder how quickly he'll try to replace Gabbert. My guess is right away.

I think both of them are safe with Mularkey hiring. Rams will go with Fisher and we will finally have some continuity next season :wiggle:

Tebow did what nobody in the NFL was able to do against that defense.

He landed haymaker after haymaker and took them out. It was a clinic in how to make big plays.

It was to the point that people had to make excuses for the Steelers.

If I still had a hint of feeling toward the Falcons I would love this news. As it stands, I only feel sorry for the Jaguars' fans.

I still don't get how his lousy record of play calling, made him a HC material

Mularkey decided to blow us off because John Elway didn't even know his name.

At least you know what is going to happen when the Falcons go for it on 4th down.

Just curious... You being a falcons fan what's the reason for you posting on a Broncos forum??? You're not like boob and some others you're actually a very good poster

He coached Buffalo to their only winning season this century. I think he did alright there given the circumstances.

It was Cutler to be honest. I thought he was the best quarterback in that draft and found it really interesting when he was drafted while Plummer was still around. I started following then and kinda stuck around since. The Broncos always just seemed to have some of my favorite players like Lynch, Dawkins, Champ, Cutler, Knowshon, DT, and Tebow.

Yeah I want both. McCoy has been great with adjustments, and I actually like his play-calling. 9 in the box is what allowed us to go over the top in OT.

I love the defensive turnaround and Allen.

If I had to lose one of them, it would be McCoy, though.

Is it possible that Tebow's monster passing game and playoff win caused the Jags to "pull the trigger" on Mularkey because the Jags knew they couldn't get Tebow now so no longer needed McCoy specifically?

Help me Blaine Gabbert, you're my only hope (to suck enough to move Jax somewhere - aka London - so I don't ever have to worry about conflicting TV NFL rules and just get Denver games every week).

He may be a good fit with Gabbert, who I think can be better than it looks. Gabbert was put in a bad spot. But Mularky to me seems just like the reverse of Del Rio. Good coordinators but who aren't real HC material. Chan Gailey. Norv Turner.
