Thanks KD. All our thoughts are with him and your family and your daughter-in-law...aka Kaylore..right now. As soon as I saw it I had to look away. It looked very un-natural.

Awesome. Great to hear. He should make a full recovery then?

It looked brutal. Chris is an absolute beast, I would have been screaming bloody murder if that happened to me, and he was just looking at it like "Eh, it happens."

Thanks Dave. Appreciate the head's up and it has been a joy watching your son play this year. He's really become a stud and will be missed.

By the way, little known fact for the board: Kuper enjoyed playing hockey and had great hands (for catching, SoCal) in pop warner before he ate his way into the offensive line. ROFL!

Prayers for a quick recovery. Someone I love goes in for surgery this week so maybe this is a good week for such things. Prayers for a quick and full and as painless as possible recovery. And peaceful thoughts to the whole family for what is surely a stressful time.

Actually I was coaching football and hockey so I made him my qb and goalie because I knew no matter what I always had my goalie and qb with me. By the time he was a junior in HS he was 7' in his goalie gear and he had been turned into an off lineman the previous year. Thanks Kaylore... we'll have to go and grab some lunch if I get down there. dk

Latest news is he told his wife to get him Red Robin to eat post surgery and was warned by the medical staff that he would be too nauseous to eat at which he said I don't get nausea and proceeded to consume all of his meal and half of hers. In addition, they are missing the hospital food cart as well as the employee that was pushing it.

Wow, I think it is so cool that loved ones of the athletes of our favorites teams would read and post on this board.

I know people will say "coaches and players never read these forums", but how do you really know? I am sure that John Fox and his assistants probably don't read internet forums during the season and the playoffs, but I wouldn't at all be surprised if they read them during the offseason when they have more time.

How do we really know that Zane Beadles is not taking 15 minutes out of his life before he goes to bed and logs onto his laptop and checks into a forum before he goes to bed in his hotel Friday night?

Anyway, thanks for the update Kups dad!

Too bad he misses out on the playoff run. Playing in Denver since Kupes came on board hasn't been a playoff experience so it really sucks he doesn't get to play. Having said that Hochstien played really well. Not sure though how he fares against those big NE front 3.

Oh yeah. No problem. 6-8 for the bones 12 weeks rehab and bam he'll be making his own runs to Red Robin in no time. The wife will only put up with that for so long. I expected him to be ready for the Super Bowl. I think Raji is scared because he would literally get beat by a one legged man in an ass kicking contest.

Great to hear that your son is doing well Kupesdad. Having gone through a similar tib-fib break, I can relate. Only mine wasn't a spiral fracture more like a lateral foot off to the side dislocation.

Only advise I have is to get the metalwork out ASAP. I left mine in for nearly 4 years and just went through a second round of surgery to get the screws and plate out. Not fun. But my leg feels a lot better now.

Thoughts and prayers and all the best to you son.

Tell Chris we're all very proud of him this year, and he played a large part in our getting to the playoffs. I remember when we were 1-4, and just about the only person on the field showing any fire was Kuper -- he's clearly taken the role of captain very seriously, and there's no question (at least in my mind) that he'll be one of our captains again next year.

Hometown Alaskan boy made good -- reason #1543 that I love this team!

I always knew your boy was tough but I was damn surprised how well he tolerated a tib/fib c ankle dislocation. I've seen a lot of folks with the same injury in my time and I haven't seen anyone take it as coolly as him.

Given how tough he is I have no doubt he'll be up and moving in no time. My best wishes and prayers are there for him to have a speedy and uneventful recovery.

I was in the stands and couldn't see exactly what happened, but saw them immediately call for the cart, and then put an air cast on, so figured it was broken. Wasn't until I was back at the hotel and saw a picture.
