I don't know what that means. Anyways, moving on.

Speaking of crazy fans....I'm reading this book about soccer hooligans right now called Among the Thugs. Yall probably already know this, but I was pretty stunned to learn this: in Europe, some teams fans are actually banned from attending away games. Manchester fans were banned in the 80's from being able to attend away games and they HAD to go through scalpers to get tix. And when they arrived in the city, they'd be tailed by police the whole time.

Can you imagine if Steelers fans were banned from being able to buy tix for away games and, if they did come, they'd be under a police escort the whole time?

We think fans of the Steelers and Oakland and whatnot are "crazy" - they ain nothin compared to hooligans. I can't fathom why people even risk their lives to attend soccer matches.

Yeah, it must be hard for you to imagine fans who root for their team to win.

I think saying you empathize with soccer hooligans takes you to another plane of existence that, yes, I do not understand.

Yeah, it sucks when your team wins.

I see we're having two different conversations. That's okay - I do that sometimes myself. Usually when I'm drinking.

Say, is that Timmy Tebowing on you? It almost looks like he's about to drop his balls on your shoulder. Know what's great? You'll NEVER see Timmy get in the news for being a serial adulterer. I'd stick with him as your avatar. Solid pick. He's one conservative morals hero who REALLY is not layin' any pipe out there with whures.

Lol at the a-hole that gave me neg rep for this thread. I was one of the few broncos fans that kept my seats for the afc champ game in 2005. It sucked so bad losing that game and to see a 3rd of the stands full of steelers fans only made it worse.

The home Monday nighter in 2009 was also bad. I expect it to be even worse this year

All of Pennsylvania's jobs have been sent to 3rd world countries (yay free trade!) which forced them to move to better states. The end result is a mass of black & gold transplants crawling our nation's stands. They have no real home.

Russia Poland and Croatia have the most dangerous hooligans. A good movie to see on it is Green Street Hooligans.

Just in my social circle I have 8 good friends from PA. It seems like half the people I meet in the city are from PA. It's crazy... (I posted a map in another thread).

That said... it doesn't seem like it's nearly as bad as I thought it would be in the stands.

the yellow flags really stand out so it may seem like a lot more than it really is.

did you see the orange flags out when the Broncos took the field? the whole stadium was covered with them. i think there are fewer Steelers fans in the stands than we think. when they wave their yellow cum rags, and that's all you see, there seem to be more. but compared to all the waving orange flags, it's definitely overwhelmingly Broncos fans.

smart idea by the Broncos to put down orange towels on all the seats.
