But... but... but.... but....

**** it, I'm happy to be in!

Never know what happens from here. Looked bad the past few weeks, but hell... this team has had enough crap-luck in the past decade. I'll take a freebie and a chance to watch my team play one more weekend.

Any kind of solid showing will be a big confidence boost for this team going forward. b**** and moan all you want, but we went from 4-12 to a .500 team and sneaked into the playoffs in one season. Would any of you complained about that result before the season started?

Can't wait for next weekend.

That has been the single biggest blow to this team. Dawkins hurts a lot, but Miller is useless out there... and even looked like he was loafing at times in the first half. Probably wasn't... but maybe he was frustrated that he couldn't do anything.

We absolutely need him and Doom to show up next week.

Beyond that, I think the staff needs to take a serious look at the game plan and figure out how to get a few quick passes out of Tebow's hands. Give the guy a chance to at least make the defense respect the pass.

Fair enough, but as it works out... we earned it by winning games earlier in the season.

I absolutely despise these late season collapses. But, maybe that's why I'm excited. We've got a chance to turn this into something to reverse the **** we've done the past 10 years. ANY positive showing really helps this franchise, imo.

I'm not doing cartwheels, but I'm pumped to have this chance. Broncos fans deserve a break. It's been a long time.

To all of you who are b****ing and moaning about "backing into" the playoffs, and what an "embarrassment" it is that we got into the playoffs by losing 3 in a row...are you just conveniently forgetting about the 6 wins in a row that we had before that? Or do those wins not matter to you? Yes, we lost 3 to end the season, but we won 6 in a row before those!

Would it make you feel better if we had lost to, say, Minnesota, and then won today against KC? We'd still be 8-8, still be the #4 seed, and still be in the playoffs, just like we are right now!

The fact of the matter is, we started 1-4 with Orton and finished 7-4 with Tebow. Who f'n cares what order the wins and losses came in? We finished the season strong after a pathetic first 5 weeks. Quit b****ing about "getting lucky and backing in" and just enjoy the fact that the Broncos were the best team in the AFC West ths season!

Don't forget, last year the Seahawks won their division with a LOSING record, backed into the playoffs, and then actually won a home game in the playoffs against the then defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints.

Great game, too, with an awesome run by Marshawn Lynch to ice the game.

so you people are now bending so far back into yourselves that the line here is that 8-8 is, in fact, the ideal season. even though the fashion of our 8-8 was, you know, the exact same as all the other 8-8 (or 8-8-ish) teams we've recently fielded that people went ballistic over. we're the same team we were in 2006. only now we're supposed to be saved by Clutch Play and This Time It's Different and we still dropped three in a row with everything on the line.

yeah, that's it. The difference being that losing 3 in a row with one makes the playoffs and losing 3 in a row with another doesn't. I'm not happy losing 3 in a row to close out the season, but none of that matters right now. The fact that we are in the playoffs means that 8-8 was enough. Last I checked the defending SB champs were the 6th seed in the playoffs last year. The goal of the reg. season is to make it to the playoffs. The goal of the playoffs is to not lose. Nobody is praising TT for losing 3 in a row. We are praising him for leading a 4-12 team to the playoffs. The only changes from last year (TT and coaching staff aside) are the addition of Miller, and the subtraction of Lloyd.

Only way we win is if our pass rush becomes dominant again.

We win if we succeed on these keys:

1) Posess the ball

I'm going to say that Tebow has to run for 60+ yards and McGahee 100+ for the Broncos to win. A less possible alternative scenario that accomplishes the same goal is that Tebow throws for 250 and runs for 30+.

2) Win the turnover battle

This has been the major reason why the Broncos have lost the past three games. Denver needs a clear edge in + turnovers.

3) Hit Benburger

Make him antsy on that ankle.

4) Play the run tough

5) Don't give up the big play

This is ridiculous, Hitler does not have an NFL arm. Not to mention he played in a weak ass conference... I mean come on, U of Poland? U of Paris? He practically rolled over these guys without a fight.

Spooky good leadership skills though...

Pretty good PR campaign in his own country too. Could have even involved some billboards....

The far-left anti-Christian bigot contingent here would be all about some Hitler QB'ing. Heck, he was about as anti-Israel as it gets too...thats an added bonus for them.

I can actually feel my brain shrinking

We win if we succeed on these keys:

1) Posess the ball

I'm going to say that Tebow has to run for 60+ yards and McGahee 100+ for the Broncos to win. A less possible alternative scenario that accomplishes the same goal is that Tebow throws for 250 and runs for 30+.

2) Win the turnover battle

This has been the major reason why the Broncos have lost the past three games. Denver needs a clear edge in + turnovers.

3) Hit Benburger

Make him antsy on that ankle.

4) Play the run tough

5) Don't give up the big play

I'm worried that Wallace is going to match up one on one with Goodman on a couple plays and get burned.

If you knew anything about manners, drama llama, you'd reserve your fascist diatribes for the WRP forum. Of course, you've been embarrassed over there so many times (and we all know what a chicken **** you are) that maybe you think you can spew your extremist political stupidity over here on the main board and nobody will notice?

Well, considering you're the clown who has advocated and shown excitement about the prospects of a new American Civil War so that extremist lefties like yourself can kill off people like Tim Tebow, I wouldn't take anything you say seriously.

Wow! You really do go all drama llama when somebody calls you out, eh?

Let me try and help you out a little here with your hyperbole. When you go to make up a lie to discredit somebody, you really need to bring it down a notch. The lie has to be somewhere within the realm of possibility to be effective. Of course, with you, the self-control button is already in the "off" position, isn't it?

Posting to show my new location, AFC West Championshipville. Been a long time since I've been able to change my location.

Turnover ratio and playoff teams:

Takeaways Giveaways Net
Team G Tot Int Fum Tot Int Fum Diff
San Francisco 16 38 23 15 10 5 5 28
Green Bay 16 38 31 7 14 8 6 24
New England 16 34 23 11 17 12 5 17
Detroit 16 34 21 13 23 16 7 11
Seattle 16 31 22 9 23 14 9 8
Atlanta 16 29 19 10 21 13 8 8
Houston 16 27 17 10 20 9 11 7
NY Giants 16 31 20 11 24 16 8 7

There's 8 of 12 playoff teams, and they're the top eight in turnover ratio during the regular season.

Then there's Cincy at even, NO at -3, Denver at -12, Pitt at -13.

In the playoffs those top turnover ratios can change and that's a big deal.

Yeah it would be a better world if people just remained quiet while you were out there advocating and celebrating potential civil war.

You're a sick individual. Don't get mad at me because I called you on it.

From 4-12 to Division Champs in one season.

Why doesn't it feel better?

You're doing it wrong.

Mission accomplished for 2011/12, as far as I'm concerned. Anything else good that happens from here out is icing.

Like I said... making the playoffs was a huge boost for this team, despite the late-season problems. Imagine the confidence this instills in this franchise and fanbase going into next season, regardless of what happens next week.

First playoff win since 2005, folks. Eat it up!

Did you see the stat line during the game? Said the steelers had combined about 200 games worth of playoff experience while the broncos only had 78 games total. Pretty amazing and shows how young we really are. Lot of guys got their taste of the playoffs. That will help next week when the stakes are higher.
