I think he is done, neck problems suck.

When you start dealing with neck and back injuries in your late 30's, it's probably time to hang it up. The guy's been a warrior here and played remarkably well this season. Time for the rookies to earn a check.

This sucks. And so does the Von Miller injury. We're not getting the pressure we once did and we're now relying on rookies who have been really shaky.

Even if that's true (and I'm not sure it is), how does that make our rookie duo of duds any better? I have very little respect for Orton as a passer, but having one (maybe two if you count Harris) NFL-quality players in our secondary is still scary as ****.

Our current safety situation fills me with complete dread...

Inexperienced and injured safeties that tackle poorly coupled with a reduced pass rush against a QB who is flush with revenge to keep this team out of the playoffs, this is a perfect storm. The only thing in our favor is that the game is in Denver. We need a successful, sustained offensive ball control ground game to keep the defense off the field and gain the advantage early.

And what's with J.Thomas' disappearing act? Did he fracture his ankle or something?

Got to guess it's a blocking issue, missing assignments. Or he was just a camp sensation that didn't pan out.

Julius Thomas must be some kind of **** in practice, cuz i cant imagine how he wouldnt, at least, present a match up problem of some sort

And what's with J.Thomas' disappearing act? Did he fracture his ankle or something?

He got the dreaded high ankle sprain early in the season. In many ways that's worse than a fractured ankle, because it will linger and linger and there isn't always a set timetable with it. It certainly played a factor in his flameout this year, no doubt.

Carter in NO way is a dud.

Have you watched him play lately?

Both of them are rookies, so they deserve some slack, but Carter's been just as bad as Moore lately.

Injury set him back, and then we transitioned to an offends that didn't need his skills as a pass catcher as much. Everyone when we drafted him said he was a major project, hard to say he hasn't spanned out yet.
