Where will you be watching the game on Sunday?

By tradition, around New Year's, my family and I spend several days with some friends who have a big house. All of us have lots of kids (we total 30 or more people), so we show up with sleeping bags, air mattresses, board games and what not & have a 3-day-long party beginning on the afternoon of the 31st.

Then we pull a couple of all-nighters and head home on January 2nd.

But this year will be different. Since the kids will all be playing X-Box 360 all day, I'm watching the game from a friend's house about a mile from the party while he's out of town on Sunday. So I'll be all by myself watching Denver take on KC...unless I can drag one of my boys away from "Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 3".

I've got my priorities straight!

Lucky you. Where are your seats?

My folks had 5th level seats in the West Stands for about a zillion years before they finally gave them up and decided to watch the games @ home on HDTV. Walking up 72 ramps to get to their seats was too much for their old bones.

What's your strategy for buying scalped tickets? Whenever I had a ticket to sell, I always looked for the fan all decked out in Broncos regalia who could answer the most trivia questions (like "What was Tom Jackson's number?"). Then I made him or her promise that they wouldn't turn around and resell the ticket.

I never sold any tickets for more than face value, btw.

At home...watching it on my 65" LED TV from my recliner with my laptop close by!

Most likely with a bottle of Raymond Cabrenet.

Of course, if I was fortunate enough to be at the game "Live" it would be beer for sure!!! :-)

Go Broncos!!!

More or less that. I'm walking distance from the Stadium so I usually head down at about 1:00 and just stick a finger in the air when I'm near the stadium. I refuse to deal with scalpers (I'd rather watch it at home then pay them off). I've never paid more than face for a ticket and have always ended up in the lower deck. The Chicago game was the first game I've paid face value for a ticket in like 3 seasons....

I usually go by myself, so it's easy to get a ticket. There is always someone who's buddy couldn't make it.

If I'm going with someone else I just pound Craiglist the morning of the game. Usually around 12:00 or so I'll find someone who suddenly can't make it and have two or three tickets to sell.

But IF we win, and
IF we win our first playoff game, and
IF we play New England in the second round......

I'll be going to the game, as I live about 1 hour and 15 minutes from Gillette Stadium.

Nothing would be better than going to a playoff game with all my Pats-loving friends.....

Except for that game being in Denver.

Was over there this time last year. They showed about 3-4 Bronco games on AFN. Knowing they wouldn't show the games till around 11PM Sunday to real early Monday morning, i let my supervisor know i wanted Monday off so i could stay up late to watch the games.

Deep in enemy territory.....I live in Lenexa Kansas a suburb on the west side of KC. I will be watching with my d-bag Chiefs fan neighbors. God help me if we lose.
BTW I actually heard Bob on sports talk radio the other day. His real name is something Athan right ? I almost drove my truck into a ditch to make it stop.

I was originally thinking from Labor and Delivery but alas, it appears those "contractions" were merely a reaction to the sour cream infested dip I inhaled last night. Looks like I'll have to contend with this medicine ball of a squatter in my gut for a little while longer.

Sure thing, but you're going to have to come pick them up since I won't have time after the Bronco game. Can't be late for the Nuggs tipoff after all. And while you're out, could you pick up the dry cleaning and some cat food?

"Thanks, Joe. I'll take that as a huge compliment."

For my first "push gift" (the very existence of which, incidentally, is just more evidence of your guys' "organization" completely unraveling), I asked for court side tix to a Nuggs / Warriors game (as we were living in San Fran at the time).

There I was 9 months preggo literally looking like I had stuck a basketball underneath my Melo jersey. Al Harrington and AI could not have been friendlier, while that biatch Melo never even glanced my direction.

In retrospect, I suspect he might have had some paternity concerns.
