Nice find -- looking at a middle-aged Bobby Humphrey makes me feel old, though....

What happened to his hair? Used to love it with the bronco headband.

He still is one of my favorite Broncos. I have this card with him in it, he is getting blasted and you can see his mouth piece flying out. I think it's the play he cracked his ribs on.

Really? Bobby hold out Humphrey is one of your favorite Broncos of all time?

Will always remember him as a guy that could have had everything but threw it away for greed. Whatever, can't blame him really for making a business decision eventhough it didn't work out. How'd that Miami gig go?

To me, he's the back that could have been Terrell before Terrell, had he given it the chance.

Its not like the trade worked out that great for us either. How many crap RBs did we go through after we traded him?

Humphrey was more of a steady move the chains runner than a game breaker.

The Broncos didn't miss him too much the year he held out though because of Gaston Green's career year, and then he went out got shot in the leg when he was with Miami.

Disturbing.

I remember that play. It was against the Giants. Gary Reasons completely destroyed him.

I know I would rather see what a former player has to say about Tebow than some writer someplace(and the posters who need to post them) fixated about Tebow's religion that is for sure.

Up next, Arthur Marshall talks Tim Tebow. Compelling stuff.

I'm still wondering what Dave Preston and Gaston Green think about Tebow. Anybody?

There's the guy that gave me my first experience as a kid with crushing disappointment in a player. Thanks for the memories Bobbeh!

Glad he got cleaned up...

"6. Bobby Humphrey, RB Broncos

You don’t hear many people bragging that they scored 11 touchdowns in one game with Bobby Humphrey. That’s because they’ve never tried. Running behind the Bronc’s above average offensive line, Humphrey can get loose quite easily with his 69 rushing power, and 63 maximum speed.

*Nothing drops panties in a bar quicker than:

YOU: ”Hey Babe. Did you know I once rushed for 857 yards and 11 touchdowns in one game with Bobby Humphrey on Tecmo Super Bowl?”

HER: “I WANT YOU!!!!! Every other creep uses that line with Bo Jackson or Barry Sanders, like it’s some accomplishment………..Why don’t we go back to my place, and I’ll tell you about the time I recorded 17 sacks with Bill Pickel.”

I was more a master of defense in Tecmo. I used to really piss my friends off with the infamous Kragen bitch dive, where you'd basically register a sack on almost any play where the QB started under center.

There was no stopping it, save running shotgun all the time. But that made it really easy to guess which play they were going to run. And for our younger readers, if you called the right play defense in Tecmo, the other guy was screwed.

It was a simpler time. A magical time, really. :)
