View Full Version : Why is no one talking about this?

Why is no one talking about the free touchdown the refs gave Brady when his knee was clearly down before he reached across the goal line..? The play was reviewed... It was clear as day on tv.. Can't believe they missed that.

**not saying it would have changed the outcome of the game but I would have been livid had it been the deciding factor.

Can someone get a screen shot?

Think most people didn't care and was glad they scored when they did cause it left us time before the half to try to do something.

Cosby did his best to fail boat the whole thing tho.

Officiating was the least of our problems today, although missing a forward lateral on that fumble recovery was atrocious.

His knee wasn't down, he was ontop of a lineman.

Learn the rules, you can't advance the ball in that situation, the play was dead as soon as he recovered so the lateral is irrelevant.

It like they said on SNL last night, if Jesus is the son of God..
then Brady is his nephew.

You're a dumb person, but in this case you are correct.

His knee wasn't down, he was ontop of a lineman.

This is true plus the ref's made up for it later in the game on the Brady QB sneak I thought for sure he was in on.

The refs were bad but the 3 turnovers were worse.

Loved watching Doom decleat Brady though.

So your saying that only being down 27-23 in the fourth would not have maybe changed the out come?

silly. Just silly.

The worst one came before that. Gronk fumbled through the EZ. That should have been the Broncos' ball on the 20.

The refs had not blown the whistle at that point, and the NE player was still trying to advance the ball, and it was an illegal forward lateral. If Denver had stripped the ball back it would have still been a live ball. The lateral is a penalty , and since NE had no time outs an automatic 10 second runoff the clock...which would mean the half was over before the FG could be attempted.

While you guys did beat us pretty well, due to our mistakes, it was an example of the poor level of officiating during a good portion of the game. I won't go into the particulars but it is pretty common that the calls tend to favor your team in those types of situations. I know that you won't see it that way, but it IS a factor.
