Broncblow is now advocating the stance that this team is purely a product of Josh McDaniels. Apparently the secret plan was to not start Tebow to loose to draft Von Miller. You see McDaniels would definitely have drafted him despite passing on guys like Brian Orakpo and Dez Bryant. And he just magically knew Von Miller was going to be in the top five at the beginning of the season and that is why he decided to tank an entire season to draft him, don'tcha know! Then Fox and Elway "hijacked" this team and apparently are just riding Josh McDaniels' coattails.:thumbs:

Yeah. Creepy stuff.

I fully expect him to be in my closet wearing Spider's skin or something when I get home from work.

I dont know. For some reason you did exactly what Rev has done by creating this type of thread but I see the post you go after him. Kind of hypocritical of you. As for Beer tattling on Steve Tensi, he is a cop after all and forget if he was posting in a serious or not, but Steve Tensi should have known better.

But, as much as I do not mind this thread, it is amazing (well, not really if you have been here for years) that this thread has not been sent to the butt but any other thread like this normally does. Is it because Kaylore is a favorite here and is on the Podcast?

(Kaylore, you damn teacher's pet. Get me the teacher's grade sheet or I am going to steal your positive rep points!)

Guys, we should all follow Llama's lead. He's the only one who gets to post juvenile pictures of posters, call them girls, ask if they're on their period, et al in one thread and then pretend to take the high ground and be above such "immaturity" in the other. Let's all go in another thread browbeat everyone!

Well, one tries to be subtle at first, but you tend to be very sensitive to even subtle nudges. And I know that whatever I send you in private you will put in the thread, so I just skip that part.

But I'm not so much concerned about the bully as I am the other party.

Why don't you just put the guy on ignore?

See, I don't get this at all. I don't perceive this thread as bullying. I've seen and experienced bullying on this board and this thread, while perhaps juvenile in nature is not bullying. I didn't consider it bullying when they started a thread on who I should date which could have and did sometimes devolve into bizarre glimpses into internet psyches. I took this as silly teasing of a poster, much like Bob, only nicer really. The stuff that gets said about Bob is way worse, though admittedly he soaks up that attention. Eh, it was a funny thread, now it's not so much.

Speaking of Bullying...

Tebow the bully? (http://www.csnchicago.com/blog/bears-talk/post/Tebow-the-bully-?blockID=607944&feedID=626)

“He’ll try to ‘punk’ the smaller people,” said Bears safety Major Wright, a Florida teammate of Tebow’s and who was occasionally a Tebow punkee at Gators practices.

“His big thing is trying to stay in bounds. When he’s going against a DB, he tries to run them over.”

In all fairness Bobo brings a lot of it on himself, he is not what yo would call inconspicuous.

I have been on both sides of some pretty serious bullying, and I would claim that if you can avoid it as easily as not reading one specific thread on a board it is not bullying - it may be childish, but it is not bullying.

Backstory since I woke up in pain and cannot sleep:

The year was 1986ish, maybe fall of 1987 (when ever Whitesnake just released their album Whitesnake. I was in Music school to become a Band Director, which I ended up giving up on because for a lot of reasons most of which we related to lack of money and not wanting to work with kids and a lot to do with a dickhead for a dean that I had at the time. I just wanted to write music but couldn't get into any of the big programs mostly because of the lack of money, but I digress.

One of my teachers had a teaching friend who was having trouble with his pep band, my teacher knew I liked to write and arrange music so put in a word for me and we all met at the HS. After meeting I was given a small (very small, think gas money in 1986) stipend to help out the struggling HS Winter pep band and turn it around. Their jazz band folded because of lack of interest, they had declining incoming attendance because the band program was seen as lame and things had been stuck in the 60's for 20 years. The Musical Director was older and had been doing the same things for decades though when he had good players he would get the most out of them, he was just tired of not getting good players from the Jr High and was burning out.

1st thing I noticed when I got there was that the facilities were aged and run down. The music director had been getting less and less funding as his classes got smaller and smaller. At the worst point before we met he and his choral teacher had more study halls than Music courses through out the day and they both hated it.

I bought some black spray paint and told everyone to bring in an adjustable wrench and a phillips and flat head screw driver to the next practice. We went out into the parking lot and broke down the Manhasset metal stands, WD40'ed the moving parts, bent them back into the shape ruffed em up with steel wool and then painted them black along with the old 1960 era chairs. We had a nice line going that would have made Henry Ford Proud. The kids liked the new paint and gave them some pride. I heard that the Concert band did the rest and the parent band group got some $ for a few new stands and chairs for the next year.

We had about 20ish good looking chairs and stands that didn't lean or look beaten to a pulp. We cleaned up and then chose some popular songs of the day that the kids who showed up wanted to play.

I had an ESQ-1 synth, a drum machine, and could play Guitar, I asked my friend to play drums along with the schools best metal drummer, who struggled to get through a full song but could solo with the best. The Metal drummer brought with his metal bass player who wasnt smart but could play the root and walk back and forth to the dominant if needed. Then we had a couple of saxes, flutes and a flute player who could play licks of the songs of the time, Final COuntdown, Whitesnake synth parts etc...The school had an old beatup PA but it was perfect for our needs.

The following week I, the music teacher, the drummers and bass player had our own Rhythm section practice where we found a couple marches we could fill out with the few we had there if no one else showed to the next practice and game. Then we talked over pop cover songs we wanted to try to play to make it all worth our time.

Over the weekend I wrote out parts to:

Whole Lotta Love (complete with Drum solo and spinning tubes which didn't sound like what Zep used)

Why don't we do it in the road (easy Beatles blues)

I got my mind set on you (George Harrison just put this out) the Metal guys were really mad and tried to **** it up all the time. they looked bored but it worked and they appreciated it as more people showed up.

Final Countdown

99 red balloons

Walking on sunshine.

WhiteSnakes Crying in the rain - This was our tour de fource showstopper.

On Broadway, they all played it in marching band and knew it by heart.

There were some Sousa marches and other things they started finding that we could rework as time went on and bamd memebers started showing back up to keep things fresh.

The core of the band/rhythm section showed up early the night of the 2nd full practice, it was the 1st Basketball game of the year so we practiced for an hour then played for the game. We were practicing as the kids came in and picked up the new sheet music I wrote out. Their faces lit up when they heard us playing rock tunes when they walked in. Then I and the music teacher/director went around and showed them the parts. At one point we broke up into brass woodwinds in practice rooms for 15 minutes to learn the parts then did one last play through before hauling down to the field house.

You could see that the people who were there pregame didn't know the band existed and didn't expect a clean well ordered group with a Synth and Guitar 2 drum kits and a hand full of sax and winds, and nice chairs and stands.

At that time they did the Star Spangled Banner recorded but the pep band had to play the school song. which we made it through without incident.

We did some pep stuff of our own with a box of percussion the drummer handed out. all the players got something to make noise with. Think Ass jaw and lots of cowbell.

Then before we knew it it was nearing half time. We started with the band outside in a line and as the rhythm section played Whole Lotta Love they marched in and joined in after the drum solo.

The Field house was in shock by this point. No one clapped even though it was good. We did On Broadway next, still no clapping, then other band memebers started showing up in the stands and watching and after Got my mind set on you they clapped and everyone else joined in.

We were short on time and written charts so we (the rhythm section) ended with "Crying in the Rain" which we kicked ass on even though I couldn't play the solos, we just edited it down and I gave the solos to the student Metal drummer and even a solo to his bass player who was also a student but not a real member of the HS band.

It was a big success and each week we had more people and they got more involved and brought their own synths but I still was the only guitar player and I was more of a rhythm player so from out of the depths this strange freshman asked me if he could play my guitar. This kid wore Beavis and Butt head type tight shorts and a Led Zep shirt, not sure I didn't ever see him in another bands shirt. So he ended up playing the solo for Heartbreaker right there in the gym, only problem was he extended it and would go on way tooo long. It sounded way better when he showed up with his own Gibson SG and his own combo amp that he would have to replace tubes with every now and them during a set.

After a couple home games they had set records for attendance of the pep band, the band kids were having fun picking new tunes and doing their arrangements. There were just as many people in the stands to hear the band as there were to see the game. The cheer leaders had to step up their stuff too and even asked us to play for their formation routine thinggy which didn't really work but it was nice to see all the potential of all the talent from the basketball players, to the cheer squad to the pep band all get better as the year went on, it became the thing to do and we had to have a school wide rally for the basketball team for the 1st time in years and they were only at .500.

So at somepoint during the set up at one of the games, I think the guitar players name was Dave. Dave leans over into the rhythm section and tells us he likes this one flute player. She was cute they were about the same age. Then after we are breaking down the gear for the night Dave tells us that he read in Hustler about using a mirror to watch your anus while jerking off then he goes on to tell us he uses his mom's compact to get it done but he didn't see the point because it took his attention away from the chicks in the mag so he would just stop using the mag and fantasize about the flute player. All the while he was playing the opening to Babe I'm gonna leave you. while we are trying to get out of there before the lights got turned out.

As a side note they didn't have any trouble getting people to play for anything after that, the kids made marching band, jazz band, and regular bands interesting on their own. Near the end of the time I was there even the choral teacher came out and brought some of her singers by then we were too big and loud for them but at least someone was singing the songs rather than just instrumentals.

I also got tired of listening to the Music Director and the Choral director bitching about having to do study halls, I told them to see if the Principal and board would allow them to offer up guitar and piano/synth classes. They got them approved based on the pep rally turnouts and the next semester they had 2 full guitar and 2 full piano classes and even music appreciation was brough back from the dead. I think they had a long run with those classes, i lost touch with them after I got into Computer Mainframes, servers, and Neworking but that is yet another long story about lack of money and dickhead of a dean who stole back all the joy that I was able to get from my time with that poor little pep band. At least once I got into Computer Networking the money finally came but then I didn't have any time for music.

Work saps your soul so a couple years later I told myself that when my daughter was born I would take classical Guitar lessons. Best move I ever made, outside of the family music gives me the gift of pure joy.

Kinda long but I couldn't sleep and the Ambien must have been low in me tonight because the post is coherent and I didn't attack Montrose for thinking Orton was Tom Brady.

Good night all. Enjoy!

Absolutely.

Writing music is extremely gratifying. I agree with Rich Mullins when he wrote:

"Now that this is all ending, I want to hear some music once again
'Cause its the finest thing that I have ever found, and now that its done...
If they treat me like a pauper or if the dine me like a prince
If they lay me with my fathers or my ashes scatter on the wind I dont care
When I leave I want to go out like Elijah
With a whirlwind to fuel my chariot of fire
And when I look back from the stars it'll be like a candlelight in central park
And it wont break my heart to say goodbye"

it absolutely amazes me how broncbow can find any reason to turn any thread into an indictment on EFX, all in the name of exposing The Grand Conspiracy.

What is even more amazing is that he continues to fine room to bitch, despite the team being 5-1. His hero is more adored by the national media than any other person in sports right now...you can't watch NFL news for more than 15 minutes without a Tebow story, but that's not enough. The Broncos went from the cellar to leading the division; that isn't enough. I really don't get it.
