Hello all.
The Situation:
I am entering into coaching H.S. Football as an offensive coordinator (Freshmen). The team I will be coaching has historically been light among its peers so the HC has adopted the ZBS and uses a lot of movement to help keep his offense alive (7-3 last season). Of course being a long time Bronco fan this not only makes me smile a bit but gives me some fun reference material. The coach has his own extensive playbook that I will pouring over during the off-season.
The Request:
I know many here at the Mane are experienced coaches, players, reporters and armchair analysts so I bet you have some favorite reference materials. Be they online, books or just from your own experience and notes....would you be willing to share them with me?.
I simply want to have a more thorough understanding of the ends and outs of ZBS so that I will do these kids justice. My job, of course, at this level will be more about teaching and coaching the basic skill sets needed in this system as well as the language used for the coaches playbook...but it wont hurt for me to see a bigger picture.
If you would prefer not to post things here please PM me and I will send you and email to use.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
PS I have done my google homework and have found some great sites...but I am sure the combined experience here at the Mane will refine that search.
