So yet another Tebow factor has emerged. Away field advantage!
Apparently there's Gator fans everywhere because we have had tones of fans at our games with Tebow playing. Gary Miller just got me thinking about this because he commented on the sea of orange in Minnesota today. The Broncos cheers today were probably just about as loud as the Vikings. I remember last week Von was saying he thought Novak made that OT kick because the crowd cheers were so loud, but turned out it was Broncos fans. Hell even when we were getting killed in Green Bay the fans there were chanting for Tebow.

This is BIG, as the Tebow legend grows we are going to have fans invading stadiums everywhere, just like the Steelers. Reminds me of the 2005 AFC Championship game with all those damn terrible towels in Mile High. As long as they don't start doing the gator chomp.

I was at that game. I was having a great time until the game started.

How many fans do you guys think the Broncos gained by drafting Tebow? 100K? 500K? More?

More. Not only that, but with all the media piling on, they've turned him into a sympathetic figure and now that he's sticking it to the critics, he's just increasing Denver's popularity even more.

He's getting weekly coverage in Wall Street Journal, Drudgereport, TheBlaze, and many other non-sports news outlets.

The guy is a media magnet that transcends the sport.

Just wait until he starts dating. The TMZ's of the world will be following him around.

I wonder what would happen if he started dating Kim Kardashian. I can't think of anything more unlikely than that but Im sure TMZ would love it.

Winning is the ultimate fan getter. Yes Tebow runs hard and there's no doubt many of his old fans and new fans love him for that style. But a huge part of his popularity stems from the fact he and his teams were so successful in college. And now that he's winning in the NFL, it's just cruising right along. The key is winning. If he wasn't winning, you wouldn't see this.

That goes with any team. If you're not winning fans don't show up or leave early, we experienced quite a bit of that the past couple years at Mile High. If we were 12-0 with Orton right now we wouldn't be getting all these fans showing up on the road. But I do agree the new found bandwagon fans will be the first ones to jump off if times get rough.

He's already been cast on a new show. Here's some footage of the pilot episode:
