I would be happy if Denver packaged to move up for him. He's a stud in every facet of the game. What would it take to get him?

He would be awesome to add to this defense with his ball hawking, and he sparks a team with his returns. He could be huge for us. Perfect for how we're building this team too.

I may be wrong but I believe he is still a year away from being eligible

Tyrann Mathieu is not draft eligible until the 2013 NFL Draft.

He is a 2nd year sophomore this year.

Smarter would be to trade up for RG3.

Let's hope in the future he remembers to hang onto the ball until he has crossed the goal line.

Last time we drafted a CB that short it worked out great...

I still think Russell Wilson is the guy at QB. He's got a bigger build, has played on a bigger stage, strong arm, great wheels, and you won't have to break the bank to get him.

I think we need a wr and rb worse than qb, regardless of who it is. Reid is a stud S that will be around...
He sticks out even at lsu. With Dawk out Moore should be the guy, still.

He's really pretty badass. He just takes what he wants. He really doesn't give a shiat. Woah! Watch out says that bird.

I honestly haven't caught much college fb this year, I've been working saturdays since I graduated, but another beefy safety would be awesome too. I'm fine with building a powerhouse defense and just jamming the ball down peoples throats on offense (a lot like LSU has done this year)

they will most likely both be top ten picks when they go pro(next year for Tyrann)

He is good, but I think we go corner this year
Lots of good ones to choose from

but no I dont think we should trade up for him, hopefully in his draft we our pick is so high that we cant trade up that high

While we're at it, can we also trade up for a pizza? I'm hungry.

He's a corner, right?

I'd be down.

I saw him play tonight, but didn't follow closely enough to determine if he was a corner of safety...

I just looked him up. Is he a consensus 1st?

I want a corner in this draft. I'd be down.

Edit - he's a soph... I think that means he can't be eligible until the 2013 draft.

No way this kid isn't a first rounder when he comes out.

Size seems like the only thing that would keep him from a consensus top ten pick.

Note: Alot of guys who are beasts in the return game in college can't translate it to the NFL. I remember when I loved that kid from Oklahoma (I think his name was Perkins) who holds a couple records for punt returns. He couldn't even get on the field as a PR in the NFL.
Note: His name is Perkins. Here is his youtube video where he returned 3 back in one game against UCLA.

Peterson, same system and all, seems to be doing alright.

So, as a basis for your argument, you've resorted to giving Mathieu credit for Peterson's accomplishments?

The guys 5'7 or 5'8. The guy would need a ladder to cover Plaxico Burress and you want to sell the farm for this guy?

Mathieu has that "Ed Reed" knack for being in the right place at the right time.

I was comparing his return skills to Peterson's. As they both come from the same system. I don't think height matters too much when returning punts, if anything it should be better to be shorter I think.

We're not talking Andrew Luck type deals here, maybe 2 firsts, which, I'm alright with. I do think Mathieu will be a great player in the league. You don't, apparently, that's why there's a discussion.

He has the stature that McDaniels looks for in a 1st round DB worth trading up for.

I don't know that I'd trade up to get the kid, but I would be very very very upset if he was drafted by someone other than Denver.

He's a playmaker. Always seems to make that one big play when your team needs it most, and last night was no one-time thing.

2 first, you crazy. I like him too but we have to many holes to fill to start gambling with our picks.

I saw a thread earlier in the week about the need for a face palm emoticon. This comment PROVES such an emoticon is necessary
