Miami is crushing ny, 84-48

Carmelo is 3-15, knicks are -35 with him on the court. Yikes.

i think the knicks can still take a game or two, but the heat blew them out. playoffs are and the heat are going to destroy everyone

Don't overlook Boston . Down the stretch they was hot and a lot of newly added to the roster guys was contributing. They may still be able to give the Heat trouble.

Bulls/Celtics would meet first if they both advance. Hawks could beat the Celtics.

And oh yeah go Magic! Take down the Pacers!

Hawks/Heat Eastern Conference Finals!

The "new" celtics do look good. But in a 7 game series I think the Heat will take it in 6.

Man I was looking forward for the Bulls. But damn it feels good to crush ME-llo and the knicks.

Nuggies aren't going to win anything with the current roster.

I take it back, it's going to be a tough road for the Heat to make it to the Finals. Hawks look real good, Boston will bounce back, Orlando is peaking at the right time, the pacers are a damn good team, Bulls are tough, Knicks got Melo and Stat and they could light it up any day, Philly looks good. Blood, sweat, and tears. Hopefully the Heat can make the finals this year. It's gonna be rough, but I hope they can do it.

Im not so sure the nagging injuries didnt cause the torn ACL. I wonder if he was either favoring the injuries because of lack of confidence or because he really wasn't 100%...so he compensated by overstraining other parts of his leg.

One thing that's a little bothersome in the aftermath is the criticism of Thibs. Philly cut the lead from 20 to around 10 in a relatively short period of time. I can kind of understand why he would be reluctant to let his foot off the gas. People could just as easily be asking why Rose was driving at all for the same reasons they're questioning Thibs. But neither really deserve criticism. If Rose blew his ACL because of overstrain resulting from his other injuries (or lack of confidence), it was going to probably happen eventually.

I don't watch the nuggets regularly and don't follow the game ever from a stats perspective (I hate stats), but watching the game with the TNT overtime feature where you can see both on and off the ball plays, this Javall McGee kid is by far the biggest impact player out there for Denver.

He beats everyone for boards and generates all sorts of tipped balls, and changes all sorts of shots and takes away passing lanes.

kid's good.

I was at the game as well, but I haven't seen a replay yet and I'd like to. But overall I agree Nuggs had their chances. Want to know the #1 reason we lost? We couldn't rebound for ****. We lost the battle of the boards.

LOL @ Blaming the refs. Classic OMane.

If the shoe were on the other foot and say it was McGee setting that screen in that situation against any Laker, you saying the refs swallow their whistle? Please.

Yeah the rebounding sucked, and they let the moment get to them, had he hit that 3 without that screen I wouldn't complain, but I dare anyone to reverse that situation and say the refs swallow their whistle there.

Had the ref blown the whistle it wouldve been a very different ending. Maybe not a different result, but a very different ending.

Call me done with Stern's corrupt playoffs this year.

And also, if we're going to go full nutjob and talk conspiracy theories, the league would force this series (and all big market series) to seven games to maximize TV revenue and ad sales. They'd want the Nuggets to win this game.

Lakers need rest for the OKC series. Bigger picture.

Only 3-5 teams ever win rings in the NBA totally boring and biggest reason I rarely watch it anymore. First time in my life I haven't watched 1 playoff game this year. It would be more enticing if anyone could win in the NBA but, Stern has it rigged so his teams win only.

The Nuggets have a ways to go and people need to realize Karl is not known for playoff success.

Sad to see the damn Nuggets and Knicks get more wins in the postseason than my Mavs but they just didn't have the horses after this last offseason. Hope that gamble pays off because Cuban was already dead wrong once with Steve Nash. He might be wrong again about Deron wanting to come here to DFW.

I have seen Haywood in a Mavs uniform for the last time though and I can always fire up Youtube videos of Mother's Day Massacre, game 4 vs the FThunder, and game 2/6 versus the Heat so all is good.

George Karl's fascination with a Harrington/Faried frontcourt did us in. We needed to go big, and have Karl trust the big's and he didn't do that. Expecting a guy with a torn meniscus and broken nose to matchup with the Lakers bigs consistently borderlines on insane.

With that said, did seem like almost every borderline call went the Lakers way in the 4th quarter. The no call on the Gasol elbow was ridiculous imo.

Well, LeBron usually stands by and watches in big moments. lol

What you might have not seen in the sportcenter highlight that you saw was that the main reason the heat were just 2 down was bc Lebron hit a 3 and scored on a layup plus a foul just moments before.

Yes, I saw that, but with the game on the line in the final seconds, he wasn't involved. I don't have a problem with him not taking the last shot. But he needs to be a part of the play.

He was running the play that was called during the TO. The play was a high pick and roll with Wade and Bosh. Which meant Lebron to stay far from the two to keep his defender away. If his defender helped out, he would have been the next option. The play worked to perfection. Wade got past his defender, got the open look, just bobbled the ball, and all went to crap afterwards.

Yes, I would have liked to see Lebron with the ball now, in hindsight. But Wade has made that shot numerous times before in that scenario. And you can't fault Lebron for that cuz even he said after the game "I would have liked the ball at the end, but we lose as a team and win as a team." He can't say "No, I'm taking this shot" right after Spo draws a play for Wade.

The NBA is weighted towards teams that have competent management. Look at LA and San Antonio. LA traded Vlade Divac for an 18-year old Kobe Bryant. San Antonio drafted Duncan, Parker, Ginobli. Those two teams have what, 9 of the last 15 championships? It's not about market size or anything else. It's about good management.

But I'm on the verge of jumping ship with that guy. He has all the talent and skills to be the best center in the league, but the guy is just lazy. Horrible first period for the Lakers. Better second period. And if it weren't for Kobe, they might be a lottery team. If it weren't for Kobe they'd probably be down by 20 right now.

As disorganized as the Nuggets look, they aren't exactly beating a good team.

This is a poor effort for the Nuggets other than the 3s.

This. Much as I hate that FKR, he has one of the purist shots ever. Nice game by the Nugs. Be interresting to see if there is a bit of an energy hangover for the Lakers in the next game. They get Meta back, but I think at some point they've got to look at sitting Kobe down to save a bit of energy for the next game. At some point you have to wonder when prudence takes over and they sit him down.

It's just sick that any Lakers fan doesn't acknowledge how ridiculous the calls against anyone playing you is. Those dd and travel calls could have been made by my grandmother but the NBA doesn't want the Lakers getting embarrassed even when they play like ****. 9 out of 10 players in the league would have been ejected for that clothes-line to Faried. That was ridiculous especially considering he was being "high/lowed" by two players. Then, Kobe was still b****in'. Ridiculous.

It's not a conspiracy. Donaghy admitted to it. David Stern and the NBA Referees are a joke.

If you let the players play, this is what you get.

I think the Lakers might just have enough dissension in the ranks to pull it off. Kobe was going for MJ's "flu" record early in this game. For those of you who don't know, Jordan had like a 64/65 point game in the PO's with the flu. Kobe was acting sick, but he wasn't that sick. He's a fraud chasing the greatest.

Yeah, MJ...always imitated, never duplicated. Kobeain't the greatest...no matter how much he tells himself that he is.

Honestly, you nailed it. Anyone outside of Kobe, Lebron, Wade, maybe Howard, or one of the Celtic big three would have been hit with a flagrant 2 and an ejection. It is what it is....honestly RSDU....those of us that are not NBA acolytes see what we see. Major market teams get preferential treatment by the refs during the playoffs. Always been that way, always will. It is a business after all. Nice job by Kenneth hitting both free throws. he looked a bit googly eyed when he was on the deck.

It's awesome how our crowd "boo's" him on every possession. That has to just eat away at him. He might have had a shot at the title of greatest ever if he just had a little more class, not a lot more, just a little bit above "ME".

Yeah, they were a couple of wacky shots though, heart-beaters. Andre Miller does that **** too with his flat ass FT shot. As Chauncey says, "the ball don't lie" and it's amazing how often that actually works out. Semper Fi.

He is a worthless POS as a human being. No class whatsoever. he couldn't sniff Jordan's jock in that respect. I've actually had the opportunity to get to spend some time with MJ (on the moto front). Real good guy. Rapist doesn't deserve to get anything else, ever. The sad thing is, that he truely is one of the best pure shooters in the history of the game. However, that doesn't offset the fact that he is also one of the biggest douchbags as a pro athelete ever.

Well said. He is an amazing pure shooter and may be the greatest frankly. The sad thing is, his titles mostly came with Shaq and who couldn't contend with that beast in his prime on your team? Every time I see him interview, I think to myself, "This jackass must be paying his media speech coach a fortune because most of the people listening would actually think he has a little class." It's infuriating to think that about my fellow American but it's even more infuriating to think that he's even pulling it off to that degree.

He's not a dumbass. Immature due to being sucked up to his whole life, yes. There is a reason he was drafted out of high school, however. The dude is one of the purest shooters I've ever seen. He has become much better at media/image management since the incident in Colorado, Big bucks paid, but the guy is not stupid. He learned a huge lesson. I still hate the POS. I think it is funny the way the national media ignores the fact that part of the reason the Denver fans boo Kobe the way they do is due to the rape case. We have always boo'ed the little b****, but we have also boo'ed him louder and with more enthusiasm after the trial.

I've been remiss getting in touch with Rev the last couple of weeks. He'll forgive me, I sent him some good stories for his appendicies. Between a wedding of our favorite niece in Texas, and our ReFi deal here in Atlanta, it has been a bit of a bitch timing wise. I am proud of what he has accomplished to this point, though. Leatherneck doing good. We will keep in touch on this, and other things as well. Bro'. Count on that. Semper Fi, and I mean that in the best of ways. Only those of us who did it, get it.
