CDs - They don't fit in your front pocket like a cassette and you can't record your favorite songs straight off the radio!

i posted a few of these a couple of weeks ago when we were going through another round of sanctimonious "it's just a gimmick" postings here.

here are some more:

1) "I think there is a world market for maybe five computers." Thomas Watson, chairman of IBM, 1943.
2) "Heavier than air flying machines are impossible." - Lord Kelvin, 1895.
3) "640K ought to be enough for anybody." - Bill Gates, 1981.
4) "The horse is here to stay but the automobile is only a novelty, a fad." -
The president of the Michigan Savings Bank advising Henry Ford's lawyer not to invest in the Ford Motor Co., 1903.

"Evolve" is OK. The hot button word around here starts with a "G" and rhymes with "toastbusters."

1. Texting....I agree but then I'm an old fart. All of my kids and grandkids use texting before a call. while I don't and have told them to call me they like it and are so friggin fast at it that its alsmost as fast as a call...plus you can't get a voice mail or non answer. Something like voice recognition texting might replace actual texting by hand...but it is here until the collapse of our civilisation. Wrong.

2. Computers... See civilisation and collapse above. If this does not happen .... Wrong!

3. Bottled water....In case you haven't noticed there is a clear lack of good clean water being available, worldwide. In fact it's very likely that wars will be fought over the available water supplies within the next 50 years. Clean water is also becoming scarce even in this country in many areas.
Paying for bottled water when you have good tap water is dumb...( correct).

Thinking that bottled water is going away is not . Wrongest!

Note that Collapse of civilisation mentioned above may precipitate you being right about all three of these...but only by chance.

How do you expand on a thread (twit-thread/subject)?

I have no idea. All I know is that it went from being a Paris Hilton 18 character assault on the English Language to being used by every mayor, governor and member of congress.

The only way porn can be a success via twitter is if the premature ejaculatory population is more than that is reported.

Medically unnecessary surgery performed without the consent of the patient... performed by people with minimal surgical training who are least likely to be able to recognize and handle related complications... and carried out at the time when there is the least room for error... for cosmetic and religious reasons. Surely this practice will go out of style when we figure out how to make fire.

My office fax is continually in use. I don't really understand it, but I guess it's ultimately easier to punch in 10 digits vs an email address. I probably get 50 faxes a per day from outside pathology, lab, and radiology reports.

For the bolded, my wife.

Next time it's on, I'll mention it and someone can swing by and punch her in the face for it. After suffering through her turning on "Sister Wives" the other day, I'm more than willing to let someone sneak a couple blows in.
