Jeremiah Johnson is wide right, trips left, man to man on JJ, Tebow picks that match up, and JJ drops a ball on pt that would have been a third down conversion.

Eddie also dropped a perfectly placed ball, that also would have been a 3rd down conversion.

If those were caught Tebow would have been at 61%. & pretty well on third down conversions. Any balls thrown horridly this week?

Maybe one to DT, and one other. But he threw strikes to Fells on 3rd and long, the decker PI no call, Deckers deep catch, and the Td.

So accuracy is much better. Decision making is good. No picks, missed open guys, but found some too. Missed DT, and Willis notably. He was aggressive, and took the runs when he had to.

Wtf is JJ doing wide right, well Elway and Co had mailed in our chances when our best wr was traded. Even Elway said he never saw this coming and did not expect to be here, 102.3 interview I believe. Stupid rookie.

The Oline again owned the makeshift SD dline. Great initial push consistently, great protection, great effort. TEs and wrs need more effort at times, but we ran all day. Beadles was solid, Walton too, so much improvement there.
Big Frank is an animal, fumble recovery??? What??? Hell yeah!!!

Defensively Carter is playing very well, sure open field tackler since recovery from concussion. Von was bad early, DPOY late, need consistent smart play. Dline was good, SD oline a joke though. Corners did awesome, Goody had a great game outside missed tackle. LBs were out of position a few times, but made great tackles when they were there.

We are getting better. Decker is sadly our #1 wr.

I think with progression we should see more passes on 3rd down, not settling for 3 pts.

We can get even better. Esp on offense. But anyone that says ” he can't throw” is wrong. The oline is doing great, defs are off balance by the math of the read option.

Anyone that says it wont work, or it will get figured out, blaa blaa blaa.

Why does it work in college? Are def coordinators paid in the ncaa? Did Auburn beat Bama using the same plays vs Saban?

Just because its used in college, doesn't transform our players into college kids worried about finals. These are NFL players running an offense that mathematically gives the offense an advantage on running and passing plays. Thats why it has worked in the ncaa for years, again, years....

Progress is being made. Plays that fail will be tossed, and streamlining is taking place. Expect more Ws.

DT is mia.

It is nice to see them go back to JJ after that 1st bad drop.

I for one like what McCoy and Fox are doing with the O.

Tebow had his best game passing I thought

with the exception of the dirt ball to Thomas I thought his accuracy was fine

hopefully we start seeing more of that

Three step drop...five step drop...Spread option...read option...triple option...play action...bootleg...array of running plays...a dual threat QB...a qb with the poise and savvy to bring it home in the late minutes======One hell of a tough team to defensively game plan

Which is why the bozos that keep saying "well, they can't have success with this offense forever" just sound stupid since not only is progress being made now, but having a full training camp together might make a big difference too. I think the Broncos know they won't have long term success if they only throw the ball 10-15 times most games, but it is working enough for now, so why mess with it? To satisfy those that can not think outside the box and worry about stats than winning games?

Oh, Cam Newton looks so good. Yeah, the 2-9 record is riveting. Ponder throws such a pretty pass. Yeah, another 2-9 record is so pretty. Oh, I would rather have Gabbert than Tebow. Yeah, 3-8 and the coach just got fired.

Yeah, the Royal and JJ drops were bad. Glad JJ got it back later in the game.

At least JJ is a running back. Big ol' Bert stare for Royal on his drop...

Yep, 100% agree. I said the same thing in the thread about what is a "drop" and what isn't.

Cut JJ a ton of slack, not some much for ERoyal.

DT is mia.

Good post V! DT is MIA as is Julius Thomas... such high hopes for him and Tebow did show a connection to him in camp.

I think if they let Tebow throw 25 times a game his numbers would like like this: 12-25, 180 yards passing 1TD and 1INT. That one INT is the show stopper right now. Keep the turnovers down to a minimum and keep games close and within reach, then anything can (has) happen in the 4th quarter.

Off season is going to be full of WTFs if they go a completely different direction. I hear so much locally about "If Kyle had this defense and if Kyle had this running game..." Kyle didn't scare defenses or cause them to worry about him running. Our OL didn't just magically improve after the Lions game. It improved b/c the scheme incorporated plays that force the defense to play very disciplined/responsibility football. The defense I think would have improved either way, but not turning the ball over helps them a lot. The next step in this offensive evolution is converting 45% or better on 3rd downs. Do that and we'll add 3-6 points per game on offense and the defense will be even more fresh!

This team has a ton of potential right now. A lot is on Tebow's shoulders. Improve to %45 (or better on third downs) and we walk into the playoffs with a team averaging 17-20 on offense and surrendering 10-14 on defense. We can run the ball regardless of weather/win and hopefully we can stop the run. Playoffs are a very real possibility!

The biggest thing to me is that the youth in the oline is getting much better. Ask why?

Indecisive DL are much easier to block. I dare Jared Allen to stunt like he did last week for a big play.

The DL are playing gap responsibility....

On passing plays

Huge reason our Oline looks so good.

Also gives wrs time to uncover late. Why, because Teebs is such a threat.

When you turn the defense passive, huge advantage. Tebow under center, made SD much more aggressive, Mike blitzed no fear, nailed mcgahee for loss.

Anyway, we need about 3 more aggressive plays called per game and I predict if the D stays the course, these close w's turn into 10 pt wins.

Wtf happened to both of the Thomas'? I guess TE Thomas was the training camp all star.

The next fronteir for playcalling - switch up the second and third quarter playcalling and incorporate the no huddle. You don't need to snap the ball quickly, just get to the line and make adjustments there. Force the defense to reveal their hand and then take the matchups.

He wasnt blocking well. Virgil Green is beating him out.

How do you conclude that a guy who has thrown for 8 TDs to 1 Int would suddenly start going 1 for 1 if he threw more per game? I don't follow...

He can't block. Do you think a TE that can't block is going to get on the field with this offense?

Rosario has been playing his ass off on special teams, and the fade Rosario caught in SD + sliding 3rd down catch vs NY has made him a trusted and valuable guy.

Julius definitely is more suited as a pass catching TE. At least we have depth! Personally Id rather see JT isolated outside than J J.

Yeah, both Fells and Rosario have been playing great.

We should just convert Thomas to WR and see how it works out.

Personally I'd like to see them make him a hybrid. Let him keep developing as a TE, but get him out on the field as a WR, and just let him be a massive mismatch out there.

Spurrier said on Rome today that he thought that Denver's offense will work as long as the D and ST play well. Limiting pass attempts is designed to limit mistakes, which makes the D's job easier.

As this offense gets more experience and practice, we'll all see more of the typical NFL passing game, but I hope they still pound the rock - man I love watching this team eat up 4-6 minutes in a possession in a close game. Colquitt definitely has the job locked up and he should be asked to come to Honolulu in late January.

Can't wait for Sunday!

Lechlers 80 yard punt locked up the pro bowl for him, unfortunately.
