What is it that the top echelon teams do during the month of December? Run the football and play good defense.

While other teams will be trying to establish the run during December - doesn't it seem that we have been playing perfect December football all year?

Checking these last 5 games I think we really have a shot at going 4-1 down the stretch. 3 home games and we travel to Minnesota and Buffalo. The schedule looks pretty good for us right now.

Yep, I hear ya. It's going to be cold and blustery in some of these games down the stretch that will handicap passing attacks, and our running game is going to come in handy. I am not afraid of this team going on the road to play anywhere in January.

I hope the Pats game at home is an absolute blizzard. If so I could see us winning out for sure.

Did you miss the game a few years back when the Pats played the Titans in a blizzard? It was like 56-0, and New England didn't miss a beat. just sayin

Oh man, would that be great.

I'll never forget Big Al stuffing Napoleon Kaufman on that 4th and 1 in a snowstorm.

5 and 0. Pats have a questionable D. They're so/so against the run and horrible against the pass. Against the only tough team on their schedule (Pitt), they lost. They also lost to the Bills and Giants. The Broncos can get to Brady and cause turnovers. Defense and STs can win that one for us if Tebow continues his excellent ball handling. The Broncos have already faced the best defenses they were going to face this season. I think we'll end up 11 and 5 and in the playoffs.

They also blew out the Bears in a snow game just last year. So much for that theory.

Whenever I hear snow and Broncos football I think of the 7-14 KFC game in 1995. Most of John's worst games were in the snow.

I remember the snow game against Green Bay. The Broncos went up something like three TDs in the first ten minutes. ;D

I remember Elway trying to wear a glove in that game to no avail after it started snowing.

That was bad.

The problem is... they're going to likely HAVE to go 4-1. It's all playoffs from here on out really.

Didn't we lose that one or eek it out with a late FG?

You're right. I found this:
From a Denver perspective, the most memorable regular season game played in this series was a Monday Night Football matchup played in Denver in 1984. It is commonly referred to as the “snow game” or the “Bronco Blizzard” since the game was played in blizzard-like conditions. Green Bay’s first 2 offensive snaps both turned into Denver touchdowns via fumble returns, and the Broncos took a first half lead of 17-0 before holding on for the 17-14 victory.

while i believe we have a good shot at winning all 5 games remaining on the schedule i think it is most likely we go 4-1. i think New England is still too tough of a team for us right now.

It was a Monday night game and I was sticking it to my dad who was/is a GB fan and they slowly came back and had there own shot to tie I think but missed.

Not a fun game to watch after the explosion of points.

how many 9-7 teams make the playoffs? we're a game back of everyone relevant. it's not exactly hard to imagine that we'll need 10-6 to make it. which seems a little unlikely to me. I think we'll lose to the Pats, and then I think the numbers will catch up and we'll drop one of the other games as well, with the Bears being the most likely.

I don't know if you've heard. We have this dude named Tim Tebow, he plays Quarterback for our team. He wins games.

The Broncos have finally overcome their mid-season swoon.

This is a team on the rise improving and gaining confidence every week.

I always like to see my team struggle early in the season, address the issues then get strong down the stretch for a playoff run.

We can only get better at a lot of things, hoping that Tebow has not hit his ceiling yet. Either way Fox and McCoy are using him well!

I think of "The Snow Bowl" MNF game against GB in Denver in 1984. It's #7 in the list below. Crazy game.

i think New England is still too tough of a team for us right now.

Unfortunately I agree. The best two offenses we've played this year are Green Bay and Detroit and those results don't inspire confidence. Every other game will probably be close nail-biters like our last few games.

Winning the New England game is NOT out of the question. They have a horrible defense. If our defense holds up reasonably well, we have a shot...

The next road game is in a dome....so the weather is not going to be a factor. The other 4 games are in Denver, Buffalo, Denver and Denver. Weather could be huge....especially the Buffalo game...

I hope Tebow is a "mudder", since he was a SEC kid.

Yeah, but we played them before this D really gelled. I think they're much tougher now.

Sunday is a big day for us. If we should beat the Vikings, and both Cincy and Tenn lose in their games to the Steelers and Bills respectively, we will be in the 6th seed and control our own destiny. If the Raiders should also lose to the Dolphins this week, we become the 4th seed. Sweet!!!!
