“I was angry this weekend, listening to the spin coming out of the administration, about the failure of the supercommittee, and that the president knew it was doomed for failure, so he didn’t get involved. Well, then what the hell are we paying you for?” Christie said in Camden, N.J. " 'It’s doomed for failure, so I’m not getting involved'? Well, what have you been doing, exactly?”

He gets it wrong right out of the gate. The Tea Party didn’t arise from a frustration with what government can’t do, but rather from a government that does too much. OWS'ers are just the opposite.

But he is correct in regard to a president who decided to vote 'present' again.

Ha! For two years he's heard the Right Wing say nothing but, "**** you, Obama. We won't do ****. We only intend to destroy your presidency."

And what do the Right Wing mouth foamers say when Obama takes them at their word and stops extending the same hand they've slapped over and over and over?

"He's not doing his job."

They have made American politics the stinking cesspool it is today.

Dude, the legislative record just doesn't bear that out.

Obama's had plenty of push back from his own party regarding his lack of leadership and the House has passed a substantial number of bills that couldn't get thru the Dems in the Senate. Obama's submitted budgets that just about every Dem in the Senate voted against, and did it intentionally. I don't think Obama has the heart or even the desire to do his job, but would rather coast thru his presidency just like he has his whole life. Only now, people aren't serving up success on a silver platter for him and he doesn't know what to do.

I know, I know...racist.

Please. Not one of the Right Wingers is going to break their Norquist pledge. That made the entire Super-committee an exercise in futility from the start.

Breaking the Norquist pledge isn't the sticking point. The math never added up from the beginning, so the Norquist pledge is just part of the kabuki. But the reality is that even had they broken their pledge and went along with the Dems tax increases, do you think the deficit would've budged in the least? Get real. Your knee jerk reaction that it's solely one party's fault here is telling. The Dems had how long to pass a budget in the Senate, again?

His avatar says "Partisan", so we really shouldn't expect a non-biased and honest answer.

The Dems are just as bought out as the Repugs (well, maybe not that much, but pretty much). They're both doing the bidding of Wall Street. So is Obama. Corporations have our government by the balls. This is the death knell of representative government if we don't get the corporate control out of our politics. But it's a joke to blame this all on Obama when the Right Wing is not only just as culpable, but far more, going back to the Reagan era when they sold America down the river in the blatant service of their corporate masters. The Dems may have put up a wimpy fight, but at least they tried.

He also isn't from a "get in line" party.

I'm sure for extreme right wingers its hard to understand a political group not subjugating all of its members and using them like oxen to pull the government in a massively fringe direction. The democratic party however doesn't work like that. There is actually a broad spectrum of people in it.

Wasn't so long ago what we consider a "blue dog" democrat would caucus with the GOP. But the more the GOP moves to the fringe the more those types are forced into the democratic party. Obama never had a true super majority thanks to this, as dems don't just blindly toe the party line.

If Christie has such a problem with this why isn't he helping Obama push his deficit neutral jobs bill? Is he saying that fixing the deficit is far more important than fixing the economy? He's been quiet on that front where his voice as a conservative in good standing would do great things. What are the citizens of New Jersey paying him for if its not to improve their economy and get them back to work?

Are you freaking serious? Good grief, wake up to reality. Geez. The democrats who did not toe the line also knew their next election would be their last if they blindly followed Obama as his support lessened and people got more details of his idiotic healthcare plan.
