Overall, despite Denver's recent 4-1 streak, the team is just 17 of 69 in total on third downs - a 24.6 success rate.

San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers has been beaten up on the field and dissected off of it for his 17 interceptions and four fumbles.

Of any quarterback in franchise history that's faced Denver more than three times, Rivers has the highest rating ever (105.6) other than Jacky Lee, who only threw just 48 passes in seven appearances against the Broncos in the 1960s.

Rivers has completed 203 of 312 passes (65 percent) with 19 TDs vs. seven interceptions in 12 career games vs. the Broncos.

The Broncos will attempt to win a fourth straight road game for the first time since the 2006 season when they travel to San Diego.

Denver already holds victories over Miami, Oakland and Kansas City as part of a stretch of five of seven games away from Sports Authority Field. That span ends next week with a trip to Minnesota.

BY THE NUMBERS: 9 — Scoring drives in the fourth quarter or overtime led by Tim Tebow in Denver's last half-dozen games. That streak began in relief vs. the Chargers on Oct. 9, when Tebow scored on a 12-yard run and tossed a 28-yard scoring pass to RB Knowshon Moreno. Tebow's Hail Mary pass was unsuccessful to culminate that five-point defeat.

SERIES HISTORY: 104th regular-season meeting. Broncos lead series, 54-48-1. San Diego won the road game in the two-game annual set in the AFC West, 29-24, on Oct. 9 in what was Tim Tebow's audition as starting quarterback in the second half. San Diego has won nine of the last 11 contests in the series, with the Broncos dropping four of five at Qualcomm Stadium.

No. IIUIC, it was the hit from from Rivers that was a second late...no flag on the play but upon further review from the league offices, Miller used his helmet as a weapon, hitting Sanchez in the lower back.

The pass was placed away from the defender. I don't really think it was that bad of a throw. No replay so it's hard to say, but I think people are being too hard on Tebow as usual. The biggest problem is that he decided to throw to DT, and DT just looks like he's going through the motions every play.

The pass was placed away from the defender. I don't really think it was that bad of a throw. No replay so it's hard to say, but I think people are being too hard on Tebow as usual. The biggest problem is that he decided to throw to DT, and DT just looks like he's going through the motions every play.
