The Broncos play the AFC West-rival San Diego Chargers on Sunday in Qualcomm Stadium and for the first time in his career, running back Willis McGahee will be positioned in the front line for the pregame stretch. McGahee replaced waived quarterback Kyle Orton as a team captain this week.
"Of course, the guys gave me stuff about it," McGahee said. "I wouldn't wear those gray shorts. I wore blue. (Left tackle Ryan) Clady was saying, 'Oh yeah, he's a captain now. He's a me guy.' All in fun."

Does "C" stand for child support bill?

Great example of a guy earning a privilege based on his performance.

Well deserved!

For Orton, "C" must've stood for "designated coin toss caller"

i hope he's around and playing at a high level for the rest of his contract. dude has been a breath of fresh air at the RB position. now we still need a RB in one of the top 3 rounds but if it's in the first it better be Trent Richardson.

Did you just make a joke where you made the captain "C" stand for "captain" as your punchline?

Hillarious! :giggle:

Well deserved!Agreed. Didn't the Bills draft him in the first round even though he was already ruled out with an injury for his entire rookie year?

Does "C" stand for child support bill?

... and didn't he replace Travis Henry in Buffalo the next year? :~ohyah!:

shucks and orton was a great captain. what was his record on coin tosses.
man those memories are soo epic remember the time he called heads and we went on to win the coin toss .
the outcome was up in the air for a few seconds .
Orton will be in the hof someday ,and on the broncos ring of fame for his epic coin toss calling skills man hes even better than elway.

also what ever happen to that MacGruder fellow was he the one streaking at the last game ?
did he get arrested for stalking Tebow ?
or did he get in a bar fight with some guy who didn't like Tebow ?

shocking. elway and fox with yet another dumb decision. those 2 idiots couldnt get anything right until its so obvious that any retart could (like changing the offense to what tebow does best, that only took them a few games to realize)

its like the 3 stooges up there in our front office

I heard he repeatedly gets the C word, and isn't very smart about it.

Great choice. Veteran guy that has been playing tough all season. As far as I know he is still playing one of the most punishing positions in football with a broken hand. He has played with guys that probably showed him how to be a leader. Should have been a no brainer... There was no other choice on the offense.
