The solution to America's poverty issue isn't asking the 1% to pay the same tax rate as the proles, hiring adults to rebuild our crumbling infrastructure, or paying teachers to educate kids in those inner-city schools.... all we really need is child labor!

The point of Child Labor laws was to keep children from being forced to work. Not to keep children from working if they decided to do so. If Newt is talking about forcing children to work, then you have a serious point. If that's not what he's saying then you don't have a point.

If these are the building blocks for growth why isn't anyone talking about these essential building blocks on either side of the aisle?

I don't think any of the candidates hands are clean but it is tragic that there is no course of action that will lead us to even the simple of gateways to some measure of jobs and the only thing that is discussed are endless minor topics and side trips away from the real issues outside of blame.
