Honestly, after watching that game, I kinda miss him. That dude has a freaking cannon.

Some of the throws he makes look so effortless but the ball is just soaring out of his hand!!

Sigh.... I really dislike him as a person but man he's getting better every season.

How could you not miss him? He's a great quarterback when things are clicking and when he has time. He uses his feet to buy time, is very creative and can make something happen when the pocket seems to collapse.

I miss him in just because he was a great player, and that's it.

Since I've been watching Bronco football the best qb arms I've seen:
Elway
Cutler
Morton

but Jay had other problems and wasn't the leader Elway and Morton were.

hes definitely improving from his first few seasons as a bear. they are not so reliant on him with the run game, and hes responded by cutting turnovers WAY down, i think touchdowns are up and in general looks like hes progressed to where he could carry the team if they needed.

One was a backshoulder throw to get Knox to come back to the ball --not a TD, fyi. The safety was still a good dozen yards away when the ball arrived. Great throw and decision. (1:40)

And the other was a throw to the empty very back of the endzone while eluding the pressure (2:25)

It will be interesting to find out if this is true. Cutler has been good this year but it's true they've won at least 2 games with very little contribution from him. But I think without the threat of his passing it will be easier for opponents to focus on stopping the run. And you can't rely on ST and D every week. So I think the end result will be that they do need him.

Caleb Hanie played great when Cutler quit in the NFC championship game. It is a step down but SOB would be a huge step down.

Hopefully their defense can keep them in it until Frown Cannon comes back.

I am not feeling the Cutler love by you. You must be mistaken by your post. Why don't you correctly reword it and let me personally tell Cutler how you feel about his wonderful personality and abilities. I am taking him out to a candle lit dinner tonight.

Signed,
SoCal Bronco

PS: Unfortunately, Cutlerfan will be tagging along. He somehow found out about our date.

The Chicago game was a must-go-to game for me, now I couldn't care less.

Glad it wasn't anything serious because I'm never happy when someone gets hurt, but I'm not going to hold any moment of silences. Perhaps the thumb was weakened from sucking on it too much.

Pretty much. Cutler probably won't be a Bear or potentially even in the league the next time they stop in Denver...and even if he was, it would be long past relevance.

Would have been epic.

I agree, he has had a good year, but i like to bash on him a little. The rest of the season we will find out.

But when Tom Brady was out a whole year, they did go 11-5, so who knows.

Too bad about Cutler's injury. Dude was playing great. Looked like this was gonna be the year Cutler would be elite.

That was all McDaniels!!! (couldn't resist...)

bears will be fine, that whole team is Defense, running with Forte, and special teams. They dont even need Jay

They may still be competitive with Hanie, but Cutler was looking as sharp as I've ever seen him the past 5-6 games.

I can't believe people think there won't be anything less than a huge drop off in production from Cutty to Hanie. Must be Rams fans.

OK, I'm all for a good ole' ripping on Jay Cutler thread, and a lot of the hate he's earned, but he's played really well this season. Especially, when you consider how inconsistent his line play has been. I watched all of the SD game, and he had three or four money throws down the field that maybe 4 or 5 quarterbacks in the league can make.

Still looks like the same guy to me. Dude's allergic to a 90+ QB rating...

This, hate the guy, my first Broncos game was in 2008 against the Raiders and we lost badly, reports of him being out drinking in Denver the night before made me very angry. He's been playing very well this year, better than his long rival Rivers, I almost feel bad for those "9" Chicago fans.

Cutler has an 85 QB rating. 13 TD's 7 INTs. (That's down there with guys like Matt Moore and Mark Sanchez.) He's had more success this season because he's essentially stayed out of his own team's way.

Rodgers has 31 TDs and a 128 QB rating.

Jay Cutler has improved himself this season to Matt Ryan.... light.

But, he's out now, so that mean's he'll likely go into his 7th (!) season as a pro the way he went into his 6th... totally irrelevant outside of the mind of a few bizarre folks around here with a fetish.

(SoCal excepted, as I'm fairly sure his man-love in that case is a level.)

Someday you will all get over McDaniels. It amazes me to see so much love for the worst thing to ever happen to this franchise. Horrible "fans".

Bears (+4) over RAIDERS
Q: How is no one calling Ewing Theory with the Bears now? Everyone is counting them out, except Cutler isn't even their best offensive player. In fact, the Bears only started playing well when Mike Martz dialed back Cutler's role in the offense to showcase Forte instead. With Caleb Hanie, Martz won't forget Forte is good and will stop trying to throw deep to Knox by Week 15. If Hanie can do anything, it will be screen passes to Forte that are the Bears' only good offensive play anyway.
Dan, Baltimore

SG: I loved how Cutler was playing for the Bears, but let's give their Ewing Theory potential a one-week test run just for the hell of it. And if that doesn't totally sway you, repeat after me: Carson Palmer against the Bears' defense. Carson Palmer against the Bears' defense. Carson Palmer against the Bears' defense. Carson Palmer against the Bears' defense "
