You kiddin me? Playoffs?!?!

Yup Playoffs are a very very realistic possibility, thanks Defense, Tebow, and Special Teams.

1 Game out of 1st place in the AFC West. (right now we are 2nd place)

1 Game out of a wild card spot in the AFC.

So heres what we gotta do. Beat the chargers next weekend and we can basically end their playoff hopes and KC will probably take care of themselves w/ Palko at QBROFL! . So lets look at the Broncos & Raiders schedule.

Our Schedule:
@SD
@MIN
vs NE
vs CHI
@BUF
vs KC

Raiders Schedule:
vs CHI
@MIA
@GB
vs DET
@KC
vs SD

I like our chances, Raiders schedule is brutal hell even @MIA doesn't look like a easy match up for them anymore and suddenly @MIN & @BUF is looking like it will be very winnable.

Chargers, vikings, bills, and Queefs are very winnable.. pulling off the upset against the pats or bears would be awesome

It has to start with a win next week against the chargeless and Phyllis.

AFter THAT we can start to think about the next week.

I think it is possible, but most likely ONLY if we win the division.
To do that we almost need to win out, or hope the Faid loses at least twice
to our once.

The is still a lot of football to play...
ONE game at a time!

I want to play the 49ers and beat them 56 to 10 so my brother will shut the hell up about that SB.

Im just worried about these wins continuing, Denver has pulled out wins like Jets and Miami out of no where, thats not sustainable (well atleast I dont think so, maybe the Tebow thing...).

Raiders without DMC is one thing. Raiders with a fresh DMC another. Palmer not throwing as many picks.

@MIA @BUF a push. We play Minny they play DET advantage Denver.
GB NE tough games for both teams
Really need to beat SD otherwise it's just a tie breaker nightmare in the end

The Patriots game scares me but at the same time, I think we might be better equipped than most to go up against their offense. I think they might try to make it tough on us with all of their nickle and dime stuff but it's not like we dont have decent DBs. Meanwhile, Doom and Miller are really capable of getting after it. If we can get a big game from Doom and/or Miller, we might have a punchers chance.

It seems like there's a template to slow the Patriots down. I want to say its with man under that has been giving them problems. They might try to put Von in coverage but we'll probably just move him around. You may not see a lot of Joe Mays that game.

Here is how I see it shaking out:

Our Schedule:
@SD L
@MIN W
vs NE L
vs CHI W
@BUF W
vs KC W

Raiders Schedule:
vs CHI L
@MIA W
@GB L
vs DET W
@KC L
vs SD W

This would put us both at 9-7. We would each be 3-3 in the division. We would each be 7-5 in the conference. So, then I think it comes down to strength of victory?? Youch.

I guess what this means is that we are going to go down to the wire. We will also be right in the thick for the 2nd wildcard, which right now would belong to the Bungles at 6-4.

This just demonstrates how big of a game next week is for us! If we beat the chargers, we will be sitting pretty and will control our destiny at that point!!!

I just think it's going to be very difficult to go to SD and win that game. The Chargers are accustomed to winning late in the season and they still have a faint pulse. They have to believe if they win out they will win the division. If they lose to us...their season is over. We will get their very best shot, in their backyard! Next week's game will be like a playoff game for both teams!!!

We need to put together 4 solid quarters of football and not just 1.

Broncos could win two or three. Raiders should win two or three. I won't be setting aside any weekends in January.

I hadn't really been paying close attention to the whole playoff picture until recent weeks. I can't help but notice that, despite the mostly deserved grief the AFC west is getting, there's only a 1 game difference between our division leader and the #1 seed in the conference. And Denver is only one game back of a WC team from the vaunted AFC North?

Of course a lot of that has to do with Pitt-Cin-Balt playing each other while we get the Chiefs. And there haven't been any real signature wins outside the division. But still, we're hardly in the redheaded stepchild/2010 NFC West territory the media has already labeled us as.

If I were playing the Broncos, my solution would be to come out firing. Take some chances on deep balls. If the deep shots connect, you could make it a shootout early. If they fail, you play the field position game and challenge the O to sustain long drives. The Broncos' success will come with teams making turnovers in their own territory or trying to play our game with us (run, run, run, punt).

I do not like the chances against NE at all.

Cutlers broken thumb ends his season. That game now becomes doable for both the Raiders and us.

GB is an automatic loss for the Raiders.

NE will be a tough game for us but we have them at home and we have a killer pass rush, which is the best way to disrupt Brady. Their defense has major issues so this is definitely a game that we could win. This is not an automatic win for NE.

We shall see - it's still very tight in the AFC West and there's not much separation yet. Let's focus on winning the next one. If we can beat the Chargers that will be huge. I think we can handle the Vikings, especially if AP is still out. That would put us at 7-5 and I think the Raiders will also be either 7-5 or 8-6. I don't see Chicago going to Oakland and winning easy. That will be a battle.

I think this will come right down the last last 2 games to be honest. I think 9-7 will win the division (could be a tie breaker involved there also).

One thing that has me hopeful that we could maybe beat the Bears while the Bears beat the Raiders is that Carson Palmer has turned the ball over while our offense hasnt. The Bears are good at generating turnovers on defense. It seems like it would be easier for them to do that against the Raiders than us.
