Just the thought of him thinking Cassel was the better QB was enough for me to have no faith in McD.

Agreed. It's all in the past now but my mind jumps through hoops trying to justify and reason the scenario with things like "the value of Cutler in a trade was significantly higher than the value of Cassel in a trade so if he could get similar production, he could plug and play..."

After the crap we ended up with, it'd just be nice to know and understand what happened.

Cutler has a stronger arm than Simms.

Cutler's father carries his playbook better than Simms' father.

I cannot believe that they didn't review that Gates touchdown. He started bobbling it and it looked like the tip of the ball touched the ground behind his helmet as Bears #33 was closing in.

I don't think that should have been a touchdown.

While DVR rocks, sometimes it can piss me off.

When sitting back down, I hit the remote then went back to working on my paper. I looked up to see it 10-3 with Rivers lining up again and thought they must've taken the TD back until I hit live just to check and jumped ahead.

Stoopid jump back button gets me again...

Well, this is the cradle of football.

I wouldn't be surprised if some salt-of-the-earth type had trained his hawk to throw a football somehow.

He could use Cutler's wing-flap throwing motion to model it for the bird.

I can see that but, man you just took a scrub and made him look great in your system. The year before Brady looked untouchable in your system and he has all the talent in the world. I just can't understand how he didn't want the QB with more talent running his system in Denver.

Don't worry about bracing your falls, fools. You've got all sorts of pads. Just keep the ball solid.

Seattle just lost a TD catch because the guy wanted to lock down the throw and then get his arm out to brace himself. It shook loose when he hit.

I hate the NFL catch rules. Gonna take a Bears TD back, but the, imo, if the ball is caught with control in the endzone, then that should be it. Touchdown.

It is really no different than a running back stretching the ball over the goalline, and that being a touchdown, even if the running back fumbles or gets the ball knocking out after crossing the plane.

You mean football 101? That's genius. "Positive plays and don't turn the ball over"... that concept will revolutionize the league!

Why don't you actually discuss the concept in the context that it was brought up in instead of trying to make yourself look cool?

You're posting this stuff and trying to look cool in an internet forum. There's a bit of a paradox there.

Locker probably going to be the starter for the Titans, Hasselbeck looks like something is pretty FU'ed with his throwing arm. Locker looked pretty good today, but 12 carries for 12 yds by Johnson......wow, no help from the running game at all( 46 yds rushing, or something like that). They've got a cush schedule going forward...so who knows.

Teams have to be more willing to tell a player to play or stay home. Chris Johnson is fast but he was a product of a very solid OL. When the holes are there, he does well, but so would anyone else. He doesn't make something out of nothing so he's not irreplaceable.

To give him the money they did is downright silly.

Well, whatever the case, he's being paid a lot more than his production currently warrants. I think OL because he has had a couple games there where he had holes and did well. I'm more likely to eat pizza and rub my belly than pull out old game tapes and compare to see why he's not doing as well this year.
