The reason to ignore Matthews is the same as that to ignore Fux News - both are shills for the corrupt two party system that is failing this country.

Matthews just always comes across as a baby. He says republicans want to kill people, well then again, it's liberals that usually support killing of babies, but anyway, then cries about others are filled with hate. Look in the mirror Chrissy.

One man running for president has suffered the most unrelentingly negative treatment of all, the study found: Barack Obama. Though covered largely as president rather than a candidate, negative assessments of Obama have outweighed positive by a ratio of almost 4-1. Those assessments of the president have also been substantially more negative than positive every one of the 23 weeks studied. And in no week during these five months was more than 10% of the coverage about the president positive in tone.

Then again he has been on the cover of Time far more than anybody in recent memory and the negative press was far more for McCain than Obama leading up to the election in 2008. With a bad economy and doing a poor job, yes, truly shocking that most people have a negative feeling about Obama.

apples & oranges. there is no comparison between rush & matthews.rush is a race-baiting,ignorant hack that spews extreme views for ratings. matthews can be annoying but again there is no comparison.

The commentary of Chris Matthews isn't nearly as repulsive and divisive in comparison to Rush Limbaugh. Who ever doubted Matthews was a liberal? In fact, he never hid it.
These threads just keep getting dumber. BarryR is right on Q for his daily political dialogue to bash "liberals" and the usual suspects are all around for the circle jerk.

Those lefty idiots are so far submerged in the omnipresent leftist media slop that they don't realize that Matthews is just as annoying and partisan as Rush.

Do you realize how ridiculous you sound with your generalizations?
Partisanship and annoyance were never debated.

End thread.
You make this stuff too easy. Time for a little pwnage.
Here Matthews is referring to the Obama administration as "we", going on and on about how disappointed he is in the president from the party he devotes his life to the advocation of:

“What are we trying to do in this administration? Why does he want a second term? Would he tell us? What’s he going to do in the second term? More of this? Is this it? Is this as good as it gets? Where are we going? Are we going to do something the second term? He has yet to tell us. He has not said one thing about what he would do in the second term. He never tells us what he is going to do with reforming our healthcare systems, Medicare, Medicaid, how is going to reform Social Security. Is he going to deal with long-term debt? How? Is he going to reform the tax system? How? Just tell us. Why are we in this fight with him? Just tell us, Commander, give us our orders and tell us where we’re going, give us the mission. And he hasn’t done it.
And I think it’s the people around him, too many people around, they’re little kids with propellers on their heads. They’re all virtual. Politics, this social networking, I get these e-mails, you probably get them. I’m tired of getting them. Stop giving them to me. I want to meet people. Their idea of running a campaign is a virtual universe of sending e-mails around to people. No it’s not".

"The family members of Congressman Dale Kildee, Michigan Democrat, are charging that the Capitol Hill lawmaker sexually abused his second cousin. Patrick Kildee, who was 12 at the time of the first alleged abuse, was said to have endured separate instances of sexual molestation for 5 years at the hands of his cousin who is now a U.S. Congressman."
