Broncos MUST be willing to do more different things on first down. PERIOD.

This i agree with. A play action on first down wouldnt kill anyone

Who cares about first down production when you win in the 4th quarter. We just need to change up the running game a bit more but continue to wear the other side down.

Yeah really. The threw the ball on the first play of the game, then pretty much every first down from then on was a run play.

This offense is going to bust out at some point. I just think it is getting set up. Well I hope anyway.

And they did play action on the 1st play of the game. IT WORKED. That is the ONLY time they ran a passing play on 1st down until THE DRIVE.

I mean, it's ridiculous, actually.

The only thing predictable was our interior oline got dominated a lot ruining about 65% of our running plays.

I agree, It's just like Dan Reeves and Elway back in the day. He finally gives up and says "Aw Hell, Timmy, you might as well take in from here, we can't do any worse.........."

The playcalling blows, I mean this offense makes Dan Reeves's offense look complicated. Let Tebow play QB idiots!

Right, so adjust your playcalling to avoid being predictable. Denver COULD NOT RUN INSIDE against the Jets. Yet they wasted 1-2 downs EVERY single possession during the whole game continuing to try to do so.

I don't know if it's genius or stupidity on the coaches part...

The thing about Tebow's style is that he is incredibly efficient.. if the defense can hold it's own and Tebow doesn't make any turnovers like he normally doesn't then he will in the games because he can be more efficient than the opposing QB. Passing offenses are not efficient compared to running offenses.. and Tebow makes his running offense unstoppable.

Imagine if the Broncos had an even more talented D and an even better runner next to Tebow..

Passing on first down a little more often breaks tendencies. If teams have no clue what you are doing early on in downs you have easier 2nd and 3rd(if it gets to 3rd) downs to convert.

Make it easier on offense, not harder.

What's so curious is that in most games our initial drives are interesting. And then McCoy seems to shut things down until the 4th quarter when we need a miracle.

Why can't we just stick with what has clearly been working on our initial drive(s)?

No you don't you keep pounding. Eventually because we kept going inside they lost contain and Tebow went for 6 and the win. How can you not understand that. You stupid or somethin?

In this offense you have to keep running up inside. It takes time off the clock, sets up all the other plays, and wears the defense down.

I sure remember alot of years in the 80's when we played alot 17-13 type games and won the division and went to the playoffs.

Winning is the end goal. Eventually though this offense could be explosive early, especially as they add in morw wrinkles, and maybe then 4th qtr comebacks wont be needed as much.

Jets did but once Tebow finally got to be "tebow", he killed them. Weird to wait until the last drive to unleash the tebow.
