The Broncos enter the game on an unprecedented hot streak rushing the ball, with their 1,077 yards since Oct. 9 representing the best five-game stretch in franchise history.

In Denver's three wins since the team's bye, opponents have scored 15, 24 and 10 points. The Broncos have held Miami, Kansas City and Oakland to a 9-for-37 (24.3 percent) conversion rate on third down and posted 10 sacks.

Defensive end Elvis Dumervil and Von Miller have combined for four sacks and 12 quarterback hits the last two weeks. Oakland and Kansas City quarterbacks have combined for just 32-of-63 accuracy, a tick above 50 percent, with 425 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions.

OLB Von Miller has at least a half-sack in seven games this season. Only Jared Allen, Charles Johnson, Jason Pierre-Paul and DeMarcus Ware have accomplished a similar feat, with Allen leading the way with nine games in which he's had at least a half-sack.

QB Tim Tebow continues to save his best for last. He ranks behind only Alex Smith, Eli Manning and Aaron Rodgers in fourth-quarter passer rating (109.9). Tebow has five TDs vs. one interception in the final quarter, and 364 of his 605 total passing yards have come in the fourth period.

BY THE NUMBERS: 915 — Rushing yards over the past four weeks by the Broncos, a 228.8-yard average. The current stretch, dating back to the Miami game on Oct. 23, is the second-best four-game rushing output in team history. The last team to have a better statistical month on the ground was Minnesota in 2007.

SERIES HISTORY: 33rd regular-season meeting. Broncos lead series, 16-15-1. The matchup has been equally close in Denver (9-8) and in New York/New Jersey (7-7-1). The Broncos appeared to have the Oct. 17, 2010, game in hand, with a 20-17 lead and New York facing a fourth-and-6 with 1:26 remaining. But Renaldo Hill was called for pass interference at the Denver 2 on Jets receiver Santonio Holmes, setting up LaDainian Tomlinson's winning touchdown.

"I think it's just commitment and attitude, We know we're going to go out and commit to the run, and up front we obviously want to run it efficiently, so it's going out there and just playing with that mind-set."-Zane Beadles

"We had the same mentality that we have every week,If we get up and make them pass, me and Elvis, our mind-set is that we've got to get there. This is our role on the team, supply a pass rush. And I think we got that done."-Von Miller

"Once you pick up the basics of the defense, you're able to do so much more with it, I think the last couple weeks, we've been able to get after the offense a little bit." –Joe Mays

"Guys are kind of elevating their game, We know we've got to help our offense until they get going and they're going to make plays; they're going to help us.But we've got to pick up a heavier load."-Champ Bailey

So can the Jets move the ball easily on Denver? I think we all know the Jets defense can probably give Tebow a lot of trouble. No Mcgahee probably also hurts really bad.

But I think Jets WR are over rated and we cone use a cover 1 and still guard them. The running game sort of ho hum and Sanchez is no superstar.

This division is really bad. How many wins could potentially take the AFCW?

Denver has already won @KC and @OAK.

Looking at the schedule (past tonite)

@Chargers - tough game
@Viking - winnable
CHI - interesting one
Pats - hate those guys
@Bills - winnable
KC - winnable

To keep that dream alive absolutely need to go 2-1 in this NYJ, SD, MIN streak. With Chicago, NE, @Buffalo after that (should be happy with 1-2) they would need to hope .500 wins the division.\

What I'm saying is that our longshot hope of 9-7 probably hinges on a win tonight. Though 8-8 may very well take this division in the end.

Last week I was watching Carter, who is a decent, not great pass rusher move around the Jet RT with ease. Can Miller run wild again? If Doom isn't lying and he really is feeling 100% healthy we could finally have that dual outside pass rush that made indy's defense a success for a couple of yrs.

Be nice to see Sanchez running for his life.

Well, win or lose tonight...we are still in the hunt. I never would have believed that it would be possible 5 weeks ago.

Its fun knowing that we can talk about playoffs as a possiblity right now, even if it doesn't turn out.

Things seem different this year. The team is shedding that loser mentality.

Yeah, would love to win a couple of the next few to keep the drama going a little longer.

Personally I think this team is most realistically looking at 7-9 (which isn't bad by any stretch given how it began). Probably a couple lopsided contests (NE) in there, but we've had the edge in close games lately so, hell, I'll let myself get a little hopeful.

I know it's heresy but I'm not sure Denver can beat Chicago. The other games are quite possible. If Brady has another breakdown like he has (with multiple turnovers) anything is possible.

I've watched every Bears game this year and, while they may not get huge national hype, they have turned into one of the solidest teams in the league over the last month. Efficient defense that gets a fair number of turnovers, best ST in the league, Pro-bowl RB & Pro-Bowl QB, quickly improving pass protection. Will be a tough out for anyone in the playoffs, Packers included.

I have my doubts that we see another game like last weeks. Most teams will either stop the run eventually or be able to score themselves. Not many are as pathetic as the chiefs.

The ideal offense would be around 25 passes from Tebow.

I agree.

Sanchez will be pressing in this game to get the Jets up big. Him throwing into the wind with Bailey in the secondary = good news.

I can't imagine that Bailey is sitting back there watching the media make this game all about Revis without getting pumped up to make a statement.

It obviously puts us in a good situation to where we could. We still have some pretty good teams left on our schedule. If we make it, it won't because we didn't earn it. We need to develope a better passing game and make teams pay for blitzing so much to have much of a chance though.

I contemplated this as well but then decided I am already far too nervous about this game as it is. Any additional stress would put me over the edge, which at 8 months pregnant can only mean pre-term labor.

Went with sugar-betes against the chargers instead. PLEASE let me live to regret this decision like just almost every other one I've made in fairy tale football this year (see also picking up DeMarco Murray after Felix Permanent DL Jones pussed out yet again, only to drop him at the last minute for who knows who).

Same guy I've always been. Hoping Tim Tebow can make it (mostly because I want to draft defense in the first, second and third rounds) but having doubts that, I think, are warranted. I'd like to see more pro-style play from him, mostly because that's what I enjoy but also because it's what works in this league. With his skillset, mixing in the option makes a lot of sense... I just don't think you can use it as your primary scheme at this level.

Um, maybe I haven't seen the same stuff you have, but... wasn't there just like one quote from Revis about the game? And about 57 articles about Tebow and the Denver option?

I contemplated this as well but then decided I am already far too nervous about this game as it is. Any additional stress would put me over the edge, which at 8 months pregnant can only mean pre-term labor.

Went with sugar-betes against the chargers instead. PLEASE let me live to regret this decision like just almost every other one I've made in fairy tale football this year (see also picking up DeMarco Murray after Felix Permanent DL Jones pussed out yet again, only to drop him at the last minute for who knows who).

I was going to start Jay as well vs the Chargers but I don't trust Jay as a QB. Makes a lot of mistakes and that negates the fantasy points.

"I think it's going to be good, I'm not worried about it, so I don't think you should worry about it." - Willis McGahee

it's about time we had some playmakers with swagger who aren't all about themselves. McGahee is saying to the doubters to go find something else to fret about, because the Bronco will take care of their own business. whether this quote is referring to his hamstring, or our offensive scheme, i don't know... but i still like to see an attitude like this around here again.

Really sorry for a fantasy football question in here, but I'm just curious what my fellow Broncos fans think. Do any of you think Lance Ball may actually have some value tonight? I am nearly forced to start him in 2 leagues due to injuries. I don't think there's any way Denver has a run:pass ratio as extreme as last week, but they WILL run the ball a lot still. Clearly, if McGahee aggravates his hammy, Ball is in line for a lot of carries. But even if McGahee doesn't re-injure himself? Wouldn't Ball still get a good number of touches with the coaching staff playing it safe with McGahee?

Ball is going to get touches but it sounds like he left a LOT of yards on the field at KC. If you can afford to player that could potentially average 2-3 YPC, go for it. It wouldn't be a shock for him to get 10-20 carries (depending on how healthy Mcgahee actually is) but you could be looking at anywhere from 20-60 yds.

i still don't understand why we don't have an automatic play for 4th and less than 1 where we immediately rush to the line without a huddle and run the QB sneak with Tebow. worst case scenario, the D has to take a TO.

instead, our coaching staff stands around with their fingers in their butts wondering if it's going to be 4th and inches or not.

instead, the minute the ball carrier is tackled on 3rd down, we should rush immediately to the LOS to run the sneak.

Great defensive series, and a little luck on the punt is nice, too.

Punch a touchdown in here, and I think we're inside the Jets head pretty deep.

this is so much more entertaining that that pocket passing offense that usually went run-run-pass-punt on their drives in the first 5 games.

We won't have as much success running as the last 2 weeks but if they stay patient and the D continues to play well they should wear down.

Major props to the offensive staff for being creative. Win or lose, at least they are thinking outside the box and giving looks the defense hasn't seen before.

8:06 TOP vs 1:46 TOP

That's brutal if you're the Jets, especially if we get the ball again at about 3-4 min TOP on their end.
