Getting past all the Rex vs. Tebow talk, I think these guys need to come up big for Denver to win:

-- Matt Prater: Keep blasting them through the end zone. The Jets' mediocre offense has been propped up by its NFL-best kick return game. New York has six returns of 40 or more yards. And for the love of Elam, he needs to stop missing FG attempts. Shanking four of his last eight is unacceptable.

-- Daniel Fells and Julius Thomas. If the Jets are going load the box and press Decker and friends, one of the tight ends needs to hurt them deep up the middle. The Jets give up lots of yards to TEs, and elite ones have abused them.

-- Woodyard, D.J. or Q Carter. Plax and Holmes will make some plays, but the Jets are screwed if Denver prevents Dustin Keller from consistently moving the chains.

-- Lance Ball. I'll take 3.5 yards per carry as long as he squeezes the football.

Agree? Disagree?

Cris Harris may be important against the passing game. Mays neeeds to get good quick.

Otherwise. the effort must be there from the begining. Score TDs early and more than twice.

I agree that for us to do well in the passing game we have to attack the middle of the field with the TE''s and slot WR.

I agree with all of the above, especially the comments about Prater and taking away Keller. I also think Jeremiah Johnson could end up having a surprise/big debut in this offense. Getting to Dirty Sanchez with Ayers and Von Doom could set the tone for the whole game.

We need to get our TE's more involved with this offense going up the seam with teams blitzing as much as they do. An unexpected hero could be McCoy with the play calling. Switching things up and keeping them off balance. Meaning, throw the ball or do some PA on 1st downs. Screens on 2nd down when you know they're going to blitz. It'll open up those option play a lot more IMO. I won't hold my breath though.

Some Naked Bootlegs, and other bootlegs would be nice to see as well.

Get Tim some protection and let him use that arm a bit as well.

The Read Option is only a few plays in our playbook, not THE playbook. We have plenty of ways to attack this Jets D. Im confident if the OL plays like they have the last 2 games, the Jets will not be able to stop us.

oh yeah....heroes...

Woodyard/ whoever guards Keller needs to be a hero.

Zee punter!

Field position will be crucial tonight. Bend but don't break Ds on both sides, I think.

I have a feeling Jeremiah Johnson might get some nice runs in the read-option if McGahee doesn't end up playing

I think this might be Orange Julius's breakout game, my guess is we pass more than the KC game as well, not a lot more, but more none the less.

Tebow went 1 for 3 with the deep ball with the 1 being enough to win, my guess is he goes 2 for 3 this week and is able to connect on a few of the shorter ones as well.

Demaryius is going to show up again one of these games. He had a good game against the Jets last year.

The heroes will be on defense if we win, IMO.

I'd say:

Andre Goodman - law of averages says that he has to eventually get a pick. Who better to serve one up than Mark Sanchez?

Elvis Dumervil - still flying under the radar, but has played better and better over the past two weeks. He has a penchant for making big plays in big games when the Broncos are competitive. This could be a 2, 3, 4 sack game for Elvis.

Joe Mays - with his non-discriminatory human cannonball act, Mays could knock Greene out of the game or pop the ball loose.

Doom is a possibility since everyone talking about Miller. But I still say Miller is the Hero because he seems like the best player on the field for us.

I will take Larsen which won't be known to most until after the game and everyone will see how great he blocked. Johnson will get some carries ,if McGahee is hurt, and give us a 4.3 yard average with at least one 12+ yard runs .

Upon seeing the title of this thread, the first name that popped into my head was Daniel Fells. I agree about Julian Thomas as well.
