Definitely their best proformence of the season. It's been said that they are a better run blocking unit than a pass blocking unit and there's no doubt after last weekend. I'll bet those guys loved the game plan. But we'll clearly have to pass more this week to be effective.

I honestly think JJ could be better in this offense. Hopefully we get to see him a little Thursday.

Lance Ball was nothing special. I liked that he fell forward on every run, but he doesnt bring anything to the table that 30 other backup RBs wouldnt bring. Hell Knowshon almost had as many yards as Ball on 4 carries.

I am excited to see what JJ can do - he seems to be a more explosive runner than Lance.

Leave it to McD... he drafted a couple of lineman knowing he wanted to pass the ball 50+ times a game. Turns out they arn't real good at pass blocking, but their a bunch of animals when running the ball... Go figure.

Regardless... Good to see something finally working on the field.

So true! Great point!

Go Lance GO!!!!

Footnotes. Lance Ball appears to be in good position to make the roster as the No. 5 running back. He is getting his share of reps — after Ronnie Hillman, Montee Ball, Knowshon Moreno and fullback Jacob Hester get theirs. Also, Ball is a special-teams mainstay.

I am sure he is feeling really good about being slotted as the #5 running back. Yeah, job security is just around the first corner and he is rounding it.....really wide.

Did we even keep five last year? I thought it was four.

Willis, Knowshon, Hillman and Ball right?

We only brought Hester in after Willis went on IR I believe.

I don't see us keeping him when we could ensure we keep all four TE's (Green would get nabbed quick - probably by the Pats) or prevent Duck Nacho from getting nabbed by another team if he keeps performing the way he has in camp thus far.

Add to the fact we can keep a young RB like CJ on our PS for an emergency and Willis is still out there as an FA if **** hits the fan injury wise.

They have hester as a FB. Last year the Broncos carried Gronk as FB.

Willis will be signed by someone before the season starts. Unless his money demands are too much.
