Of course he tore his ACL, he had a very good run.

It seems every time he has the kind of run that would show he can be effective at the NFL level he gets hurt. I feel bad for the guy, to me he looks like he desperately wants to help his team and be a good RB, but he just doesn't hold up to the physical demands.

It doesn't seem like Knowshon is going to make it in this league. I was extremely high on him coming out of Georgia, but he just hasn't been able to make the transition. Oh well I guess, on to the next guy. Hopefully he gets stronger in his rehab and can contribute somewhat consistently next year.

Not really, based on what he tells the team and the structural support easy to see them saying that. Not all ACL's are the same. An in-game diagnosis for TV is hardly in-depth and accurate given the time it takes to accurately find the problem.

Assuming Tebow wins enough for the Broncos move forward with him at QB, what do you guys think about bringing in Jeff Demps or Chris Rainey from the Gators? I assume the offense is going to have option elements for the next couple of seasons while his passing game evolves, so I think it makes a lot of sense to give him a speed burner that he's already familiar with in that offense. Bay Bay already knows his way around a spread option offense as well, so if he gets it together they could have a dangerous attack while the passing game develops.

But, if he can't stay vertical, he can't help the team. Hoping he can rehab and shake this injury bug at some point, but it's not looking promising. Bummer, because I don't think he had this kind of rep in college. But, it is what it is. Good news is, he wasn't our starter at this point, anyway.

I loved seeing Knowshon truckin yesterday but held my breath on the leap and got pissed at his Jive dancing celebration after that long run and my first thought was great way to blow out a knee ...

He was jumping up and down doing lunging squats ... just asking for trouble then on his next run he pops an ACL with what looked like minimal contact.

Its the one real beef I have with Moreno.. his legs are all over the place, not only when he runs, but during his celebrations here he is constantly looking like a pogo stick... I love the enthusiasm but it shows a kid who thinks he's immortal and immune... Typical jock in his early 20's ...

I remember Terrell Davis giving this same critique when we first drafted KM. He liked the kid and being from Georgia too, but questioned how long he would stay on the field without more leg discipline.

In any event, he certainly did nothing to help his knees with those lunges after the run. Be smart KM ... your legs are your meal ticket. Really sucks to lose him just when we need RB talent the most.

shame about Knowshon...he has battled injuries his entire NFL career...reminds me of Fred Taylor who was always injured early in his career. Ball had 96 yards this past week, and if we can get that kind of production outta him even at less than 4 ypc, we can control the clock..but I think this puts even more pressure on Tebow having to be more accurate in the passing game.

Maybe Sassy was on to something about Tebow being a running back. We can have Orton run the option and Tebow takes the handoffs. Scratch that. No way anyone will believe that Orton will fake the handoff and run it himself.

This is too bad. He was having a good game which probably would have been his best game as a pro.

I was hopeful he was turning the corner for this season.

That was the problem. Once Moreno stops dancing and hits the corner, he gets hurt. Cutting corners or trying to outmaneuver a stationary bike spells injury for Moreno.

I don't see how aerobic acitivity would make anyone more or less likely for an ACL, though perhaps if he didn't put as much time in the weight room working on squats and quads and really the whole lower body

strong quads/weak hamstrings are a recipe for ACL tears. crossfit is way too physically demanding to do that as well as a full out weight program that emphasizes strength and injury reduction.
