The Chiefs tried to console themselves after their latest defeat with the fact that they’ve already climbed out of a bigger hole this season. But the one they carved for themselves after Sunday’s 17-10 loss to Denver at Arrowhead Stadium will be a lot more difficult to escape. They may have to begin this attempted comeback without quarterback Matt Cassel, who was knocked out in the fourth quarter because of an apparent injury to his right hand. Cassel left the stadium with his hand wrapped, putting in doubt his availability for next Monday night’s game against the Patriots in New England. When asked if he would play next week Cassel replied, "as long as they don't have Von Miller, he's the scariest pass rusher I have ever seen." (Kansas City Star)

Miller hit Cassel so many times last night.

What was great is he just pushed him down a lot. He is smart. He knows if he doesn't use his helmet, doesn't him him in the head, the refs will let you knock the qb down after he throws it.

Can't wait to see our pass rush develop. We just need someone who is a good inside rusher to step up. I noticed DJ came through the middle one time and got a sack near the goal line. Miller and Doom start to go off players like DJ might find themselves with clear paths to the qb through the middle of the oline.

Honestly in Cassel's shoes I'd think the same thing after that game. Miller ****ing murdered him with hits. Every time Cassel got up wobbling it was after Miller was there. He was getting at Palmer last week as well. I'm sure Von was pumped up to play in Thomas' house too.

Crazy to think Von is a rookie...and that he SHOULD be getting even better.

I really hope he's that once in a ten year player that was talked about.

Wow all it takes is 3 wins and the board is sort of fun again. We smack Sanchez around and ESPN is going to implode. I love it, we are scrappy underdogs. I hope we play spoiler all the way to winning the west. That would be classic.

Imagine if we won a Super Bowl this year and Tebow was the MVP.

Von might be one of those players that is at his peak level first yr. He will get smarter but probably he is just a stud. He may be able to play 4-3 ssl, 4-3 weakside, 3-4 olb, hell i wouldnt even say he couldnt play DE or inside in a 3-4. He flows well, he sheds blocks, he runs around people, he has pass rush moves, he can bull rush, he's physical, he's fast, damn he really could end up with Pat Willis as the 2 best young linebackers.

Lets see, he is bigger than me, he is much stronger than me, he is much faster than me and he has an unnatural urge to push my **** in, yeah in Cassel's shoes I would be pretty freaked out as well.

That may well be a blessing in disguise for the Chiefs.
They may actually bring in a competent QB for cheap that may play better than Castle

So if Cassel cant go next game, who is going to throw those 4 and 5 yard "bombs" ? Hopefully their backup #4 can only cock his arm 1/2 way to release the football if they stick with the same playbook.

Miller gets through the blockers faster than any player I have ever seen. There was a point in the Oakland game where Palmer snapped it from the shotgun and as the ball was coming back Miller was already past the center. In the KC game he got posted up against both the running-back and the tight-end and he flat blew by them both.

That watch is not very coming with the suit. Of course Von Miller only uses it as a stopwatch. 2 seconds from "hike" to the sack.

what's the difference between cassell and coyle? coyle's arm is better and currently he's uninjured.
