7(NR) Willis McGahee Broncos

Tim Tebow may get the headlines, but McGahee led all NFL running backs this past week with 163 yards and two touchdowns against the Raiders, both of which came at critical points in the game. He broke off a 60-yard run to tie the game at 24 in the third quarter and ended any hope of a Raiders comeback with a 24-yard TD run in the final two minutes.

McGahee looked 10 years younger with some speed he displayed in that game. I think you can see the potential of a Tebow led team after last weekend. It's never going to light up the defensive backfield, but in a league that sometimes forgets about the run, the Broncos could be primed to run all over (presumably) defenses getting smaller and quicker to defend the pass.

All I know is that I wish we played the Colts this year so Tebow could break Freeney et al

That.

Let's stay big and put retro football back in vogue.

Any team that puts up 299 yards rushing is going win 91.37% of the time.

I don't know about you, but that game against the Raiders was the most fun I've had on a Sunday afternoon watching TV in over a decade.

With Tebow pretty much playing the Broncos out of position for Luck, Trent Richardson starts making a whole lot of sense in the first round. McGahee might have another season or two in him, but he won't be around much longer than that. I've seen firsthand these past four years how much Michael Turner makes our team go with a young and developing quarterback. Richardson can be Tebow's Turner.

If QB isn't on the docket: Kirkpatrick or GTFO

As much as I hate RB's in the first round I would smile if they had enough confidence in tebow to pass on all of the qb's on day 1 this april.

pass on the QBs all you want, but they'd better pass on the RBs right with 'em. there's no first round value in running backs. none.

I haven't even began to look at the offseason, but are there any potential Turner-like backs in free agency?

Kirkpatrick seems to be falling in the 1st round, according to the 'experts'....and I'm not one. I think I have even seen some corners going before him. I totally agree we need a CB, but there doesn't seem to be any big names(of course, I really don't watch college ball).

Ray Rice, Matt Forte, Arian Foster (RFA) in the elite tier

I agree, never before the 3rd round in my opinion.

I'm starting the Cameron Marshall bandwagon now

This draft depends a lot on how Tebow progresses. If he has a couple 300yd passing games by the end of the year...then, I think we pass on QB. If they don't see him improving in the passing game...we will go after a QB in round 1. Here are our biggest needs in my opinion:

CB
DT
MLB
DE
RB

Trade back...grab Trent Richardson...late first round. Go DT or CB in rounds 2 and grab another corner/safety in round 3.

Just this year or any year? Prior to rookie salary cap in latest CBA I would have agreed categorically but maybe that changes with a cap in place.

I may be against the grain here, but I think that if we keep Tebow as our starter, I would rather search out an "elite" dual threat Tight End. I know we picked up a couple TE's last draft, but i'm not sure we found the right one yet.

I am still all about fixing the D-line myself, then would put CB as the next priority, but as far as skill players I still think we need a Tight End that forces the defense to react (drawing more pressure off of Tebow). Also, if we get a true dual threat TE, it's also an instant upgrade to our our O-line and the run game. Are there any "elite" Tight Ends coming out this year?
