Last week, the Browns didnít rule running back Peyton Hillis out for the game against the Texans until they boarded the team flight to Houston without him. This week, the Browns are wasting no time in saying Hillis wonít play.

Hillis has already been ruled out for Sundayís game against the Rams, Browns coach Pat Shurmur confirmed today.

And so the cursed season of Hillis continues. Heís missed three straight games with a hamstring injury, missed another game with an illness, and has been the subject of widespread criticism amid reports that his teammates donít want him around anymore.

For the 2011 season Hillis has 60 carries for 211 yards. In 2010 he had 270 carries for 1,177 yards.

Knowshon Moreno has a better yards-per-carry average than the mighty Hillis.

Yea, and I guess people have forgotten how to use the search function. I started a Peyton Hillis thread a long time ago that got REALLY popular. Yea, it was all the rage. Then, just like that... you couldn't pay someone to bump it.

You know, the more time goes on... the more I'm starting to question whether or not the posters here are really the experts they claim to be.

...and it matters why Hillis is out why?

Are we playing the Browns? Is he playing for us?

I've always liked Hillis. I think the Browns Front Office screwed up by not getting a new contract done. tI didn't need to be some mega blockbuster deal, either. In fact, Holmgren said early on that they were "working hard" to get something done.

Did Hillis screw things up, too, and alienate his team mates? Sure. There's plenty of blame to go around.

But the guy is a beast, and I'd love to see him back in a Denver uniform next year. When he's healthy, he's an order of magnitude better than NoShow Moreno.

This message is hidden because MVPlaya II - Electric Boogaloo is on your ignore list.

Personally I thought Command like a King was Casino Royal but it turned out to MVplayer.

At least it is comforting to know if Casino changes his name he will still be blocked by the ignore feature!

Look guys, more nonsense about 5-tool.
Obviously all lies...

It has been a season of distraction after distraction for Hillis and the Browns, after the sides failed to come to terms on a new contract. It seems that now all of the off-the-field drama, combined with the lack of production on the field, has reached a tipping point for the Browns, and NFL Network’s Michael Lombardi said Sunday on “NFL GameDay Morning” that Hillis suffered from similarly erratic behavior when he was with the Broncos.

“People you talk to who are close to Peyton Hillis and knew him in Denver say his behavior in the locker room is similar to what happened in Denver — one of the reasons why Denver wanted to trade him,” Lombardi said. “It was inconsistent, always off the wall a little bit. I think ultimately Cleveland is seeing that, and that’s why they’re backing out of doing a deal right now.”

Do you want a trophy or just a cock up your ass. We get it Popps. You made a thread questioning Hillis and it was really popular.

Madden curse strikes again. Wish Vick won that contest. Who knows how bad Eagles would be right now?

No way Browns give him a deal now. He is either too wound up right now or injury proned. He isnt going to get his deal unless it is incentive rich. As for coming to Denver? I doubt that is happening too. Right now, McGahee is doing a nice job and if Tebow sticks around, we have him as a runner near the goal line. Not ideal but we arent looking at Hillis for next year.

I think he's burned his bridges in Cleveland. Actually, both sides are guilty of poisoning the air. Moving back to Denver would be a good move for Hillis, IMO. He'd also have to get an incentive-laden contract here.

Hillis blocking for Tebow would be awesome.

Probably in the deleted Sassy thread. He whined about others not getting banned so if he did, how ironic.

BTW, The mod who changed Command like a King to his real ahole name should step up and be proud. I asked of this in another thread directly to TJ (who posted above and below mine) but he didnt say a word. It is exactly what happened to Boob and Goatse at Chiefs planet. When your own team's fanbase doesnt like you, you should realize you are an ass.
