View Full Version : Our Remaining Schedule!

With KC winning 4 in a row, they look a lot better than they did in their first 3 weeks. It's looking doubtful we can even beat them on the road or at home, unfortunately! If we continue this level of play, see us losing the rest of our games. We could have stiff competition for the #1 pick with Indy and Miami, both of which could go 0-16. We have the tied breaker of Miami due to us beating them, so they'd have to win 3. We're going to be drafting Luck, Jones or Barkley with our 1st pick some where in the top 3.

FYI, i do not want to be picking in the top 5 for the 2nd straight year. I would much rather win out and make the playoffs etc. But this is the reality of it.

Thoughts??

Sad that we even have to think like this so early....

That said, concerning the Miami game...

Strength of schedule for the previous season is the first tie-breaker for teams with the same winning percentage. The team with the lowest strength of schedule percentage wins the tiebreaker and picks ahead of all other teams with the same record.

I remember Washington beating us a few years back, yet still picking one slot ahead of us despite both having 7-9 records based on this tie breaker.

For what it's worth.

I like Russell Wilson as my #2 QB

I am almost always for drafting front 7 or O-line VERY high in the draft and never drafting a running back in the top 20 picks.

With that being said.... I honestly think that I would take Richardson #2 overall. As a team were to the point where we can't just plug solid players here and there based on need. We need to add elite players to this team, ELITE. Position does not matter at this point, and I don't see a more elite player out there right now.

That is, if Tebow starts for the rest of the year. If they put Orton back in we might squeenze out a couple of wins in there because he provides at least semi-competent QB play. 2-14 with no Luck. Huzzah!

I honestly cannot see more than 1 more win coming, and that's if we aren't as bad as we were Sunday

I think there is a strong chance, we lose out

I agree. It doesn't really matter who we take, it'll likely be an up grade to whoever we have at that position currently. I wouldn't be against taking Foles in a later round either if we don't take a QB with the first pick. Burfict(sp) out of ASU looks like the real deal at MLB also.

Why ?? a top 5 pick is much better for the team in the long run. Look at the Lions, how many years in a row did they have a high draft pick. Why do would you want to get bounced out of the playoffs in a wildcard game.

We'll end up picking in the 5-7 range. We'll steal a game or two before the season is over.

We're not drafting luck, and it's unlikely we'll be able to "out-trade" for him.

Honestly, people just need to accept it. We'll be looking at a guy like Barkley, who would be a candidate for #1 overall in an average QB class, from what I understand.

Agreed. I'd also add that depending on how things shake out, this team may want to consider trading back from pick 2-5 to 8-10. I don't know if you want to take a Landry Jones or Matt Barkley at 2 or 3 if one of them will be there at 7-10. Considering how many holes this team has, it's going to take hitting on a bunch of draft picks to truly start a meaningful rebuilding process. The more picks, the more likely that is to happen.

Jones, Tennehill, and Griffin would be first rounders in any draft. I'm not including Barkley because I doubt he comes out.

I think present situation at USC Barkley could come out but, imo he should stay.

It's frustrating to have no hope, being just two games out. But that's where it is.

Unfortunately, I don't see us as being as bad as some of you. I can't tell you which games, but I can see us winning two or three more by the end of the year.

That's about the worst thing that could happen, in our sorry situation.

Don't see how there's anyone here who actually thinks Denver will pick outside the Top 5 next April.

Arizona, Seattle, and St. Louis haven't played a game against each other yet.

Minnesota will win a 3rd game when they beat Denver in Minnesota.

Jacksonville and Indy still have to play twice.

Carolina has Indy on the schedule and only 1 of their losses is by more than 1 score.

Denver has 1 game remaining against a team with a losing record (@Minnesota) and I don't think there's a person here who thinks Denver will win that game.

Also, didn't realize that Denver's SOS was that close to Miami's and Indy's.

The only teams i see taking a QB outside of Luck is us, Miami Seattle and maybe Arizona. St. Louis has Bradford, Cam is looking like the real deal in Carolina and i doubt they use their 1st pick on a QB 3 straight years. I'd say Carolina has looked the best losing, so it appears they have a good future.

We'll just miss out on Luck, i'm going to say we take Jones at 2 or 3.

Yeah, I'm not seeing that many wins on that schedule...perhaps 2 at most. It's concievable we could lose out although that would surprise me, I do think we'll pull out a game or two here or there. 4-12 again, prolly picking around # 4 or # 5.

Win????

How are we going to win if we're not even playing? Other teams are hitting mid season form. We're maybe transitioning from OTA's to training camp right now. And no this isn't just on Tebow. It's across the board.

We're holding glorified one on one scrimmages right now.

Game plans, scheming, strategy... that's for other teams.

Unless we're close.... and Tebow veers of Fox's reservation at the end of a game with some street ball... we're looking at mostly JV vs. Varsity type scrimmage beatdowns. And we're not the cool kids in the scenario.
